The Mad Dog (7/18/2008) Looks like my 9-7 prediction is in the formulative stages of becoming reality.
Because they only went 11-5 without Porter.
But still had Wilford, whose not here now....
Mincey & Porter are already sidelined. This is not the kind of momentum you want to be building as camp approaches.
Maybe 9-7 might have to be lowered if this keeps up.
Congratulations to the 2008 WORLD Champions, your Philadelphia Phillies!

| I doubt it could have been that bad as they kept trying to get him back out there during mini-camp, unless they didn't diagnose it correcty in the first-place. It would be frustrating but hopefully Williamson and Walker can continue to shine once the hitting starts.

They were 12-4 without Harrison, so I don't even care about his recovery or not.
The other players you mention don't have a severe hamstring injury, of which can linger for months, if not the season, and are easily re-aggrivated.
Sanders, Manning and Freeney will be starting and producing by week 1.
I'll bet you that Porter will be a non factor for at least opening week. (because of the injury - if he plays it will essentially be as a decoy.)

The Porter stuff is my opinion based on if these reports of his injury are accurate....and given what we saw in OTA's, it is likely they are.
You think a severe hamstring injury is going to be fine by opening day? Doubt it. He'll likely re-injure it trying to practice, once it gets to that point. Remember the year when Fred had the chronic hamstring issues? It was thought to be something minor that would go away. It never did until the next season.

As long as Manning is starting week 1, which he will be, that team has no worries.
Sanders will probably be day to day for the rest of his career, as he pretty much has been. Their offense didn't miss a beat without Harrison last year, so his return or not, means nothing. Freeney is important, but reports say his rehab is right on schedule.
