I remember reading in the TU that he and his family blame the city of Jacksonville and the team for turning him into an alcoholic.
He would have had a needle in his jugular in about a week in New Orleans if that was the case.Did they really claim that? That's funny. I've never thought of Jacksonville as the life of the party. In my opinion, the nightlife has been a little dead.
Maybe it wasn't as bad as I remember it reading. Here's the article from 2001:
