| | I was bored so I figured I would find some info on R.Jay Soward these days. Read this quote from him "I didn’t play well my first year so people were on me a lot. I wish I would have went to New Orleans in the second round. I wish I hadn’t ever been a first round draft pick. I felt that New Orleans had a better staff to suit me at that time. I think being with those guys would have changed my future in the NFL" Interesting he thinks being picked New Orleans would of been better, especially being an alcoholic. I guess New Orleans would have sent the limo to Bourbon Street to pick him up. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R._Jay_Soward Too bad. Seems like he had a bright future ahead of him and he let it go to waste.

| I remember reading in the TU that he and his family blame the city of Jacksonville and the team for turning him into an alcoholic.
He would have had a needle in his jugular in about a week in New Orleans if that was the case.

He would have had a needle in his jugular in about a week in New Orleans if that was the case.Did they really claim that? That's funny. I've never thought of Jacksonville as the life of the party. In my opinion, the nightlife has been a little dead.

| For those of you who think Matt Jones is a bust, take a look at any game Soward played in. He was freaking terrible.
They have been re-playing the Ravens/Jags game on NFL Network where Jimmy had close to 300 yards. Lost in that performance are RJ's 10 drops. I know Matt has alligator armed a few and may try to use one hand more than 2, but he is already 10x the player RJ was. |
