I think we'll probably keep 5 DT'sbecause Landri alsoplays on Special Teams. Most likely to be cut and replaced by "The Gravy" at this point would be Jimmy Kennedy IMO.

They only kept 4 last year, even with injuries.

We carried 5 last year up until Stroud got hurt

Stroud, Henderson, Meier, Landri, McDaniel

When McDaniel got hurt:

Stroud, Henderson, Meier, Landri, Jackson

 TMD on Mike Walker Sep.7:
"because he stinks"
"Why don't you get it? WTH has this player done, besides be an OTA wonder?"
"In the exhibition games, he's shown eggo hands."
"It's like you people are truly shocked/ mystified/ surprised that Harris produced another bust."

McDaniel was put on IR before the season started. Jackson wasn't brought in until Stroud was suspended and then he was put on IR shortly after.

Sure, maybe for 2 games we carried 5, but for the majority of the season they carried 4.

McDaniel wasn't put on IR til mid-season.

We only started carrying 4 DT's after Stroud went on IR.

We started out with 5, carried 5 most of the year, and then went to 4 in the last quarter of the year.

You're right, he was put on IR in October, thought it was right before the season.

However, I still don't think we keep 5 unless Kennedy plays lights out, and I certainly don't think Jackson is worth bringing back. There's too much talent at the DE/LB/DB spot to carry 5 DT's.

Who are these great talents that we'd have to cut? IMO Gilbert, Fudge, Hawkins, Pettway, Witherspoon etc. all offer less to the team than Grady could with his run-stuffing/pocket collapsing capabilities.

This is assuming Grady Jackson is even active or even gets any play-time.

I'd much rather have someone like Brent Hawkins or Jeremy Mincey than Grady Jackson. Then you have the guys like James Wyche, Thomas Williams, Trae Williams, etc. I don't understand why people think DT is such a huge worry on this team, or why Grady Jackson is so necessary. He was a nice band-aid, but it's not like he was amazing last year. He's still an FA for a reason, will probably still be an FA in a month when camp starts, and will probably will be an FA when the season begins.

Sign Grady and that means that we'll have to cut Landri or Kennedy for him.

I'd give Kennedy the preseason and if he doesn't show any flashes then cut him and bring back Grady. We need him as a run-stuffer to put in on short yardage and goal-line situations IMO.

I sure felt for that girl giving the interview in the first link. God bless you Grady, but you give a crap interveiw!

Don't feel bad for her. She was baiting him into trashing his old team, and you can tell he was still emotional over the situation. He came to do an interview on signing with the Jags not being ambushed with question over the Falcons.

Plus she pronounces Jag-U-ars as Jag-wires so she gets no mercy from me!

Bet you didn't know that probably 80% of the Jaguars football team pronounces it Jag-Wires.

Jagwired'd is to moderators as a wrongfully accused killer is to the court of law.

I show off my anger after Jags losses. I can't help myself.

Really, I thought most Americans pronounced it Jag-wah (like a wah-wah peddle for a guitar). Oh well thank god I live in England where we pronounce it how it's spelt .
