I dont really know how I feel about standing up.

I feel like if you pay for your seats, in theory you should be able to. But on the otherhand, if you wanna stand up for a big play or something fine, but if you stand up the whole time when no one else is, would probably be annoying for the people behind you.

They can stand too! This is a football game. This isn't a symphony or a Broadway Musical. Who cares if you have to stand. The seats are small and uncomfortable, I don't know why people even want to sit in them anyway. You're gonna sweat your butt off in the summertime if you're standing or sitting, might as well do something to warrant it.

That avi is awesome.. could you make me one where a Gator is about to take a chomp out of the Indian's head?..

From the comments section following the article responding to someone who thinks it's a good idea:

You sound like a wuss. When I attended FL State in the glory years, we had a name and section for fans like you...it was called the Alumni section.

If you want to sit and watch a game, stay at home on your couch. I'm sure your team would rather have a fan to help their homefield advantage, rather than a sillynanny that wants tea and crumpets and less noise so they can hear what the announcer is saying.

Ha. Sillynanny.

What's with all these crazy rules at sport's stadiums now? The Washington Nationals outlawed men taking their shirts off and now this? I pray the Jags never get this bad or they will lose season ticket holders.

Well. there are alot of large people in the area. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Also, what if the Chief fans have to use the bathroom?

what's hilarious is Colts fans talking about not enjoying ref-tainted victories.

sip in the irony of that folks

Well, duh, they've had the answer to that problem for YEARS. They'll just have to pee sitting down.

I would prefer to stand up the whole game.  I'm more comfortable standing up than sitting down.  I stand up when I watch Jaguar road games on TV at home.

But the thing is, in a civilized society, we have to be cognizant of the people around us.  And that apparently means, don't stand up unless the person in front of you stands up.  Or unless it's the 4th quarter and the game is on the line.

There are too many marginal fans that we need to come to the games.  If you say it's a football game and by God you are going to stand up no matter what, you are probably driving some fans out of the stadium and back to their houses to watch the games.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is.  Make a little sacrifice for the good of the franchise.  Try to make things a little more enjoyable for the marginal fans that may not buy season tickets if you make things unpleasant for them.

I know, it sucks, but it's reality.

“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Göring

I don't have a problem with people standing, with a couple exceptions......I've been to games where 2 or 3 fans of the opposing team purposely stand and act in a belligerent way in order to get under the skin of the Jaguar fans around them.

The other is people who stand, without cheering or anything....just stand....when everyone else is sitting around them. That's annoying.

This is absolutely ridiculous and shows what s some fans can be. This isn't tennis or something, come on.

THAT! Would NOT happen in our section. There are some courtesies that are expected from opposing fans. That is not one of them. I may be in the minority, but I do not extend them ANY courtesies, especially the ones you describe. They are the enemy as much as the team playing our team. They are rooting for our team to lose. They are in our house. Not happening.
