Quinn Gray is not a bum but he's not a gemstone either. He's a serviceable QB who has an ego larger than the State of Florida and won't be coming back to the Jags. They've made their decision on his Jaguar future and in essence he has none. Some other team may sign him hoping to work him into a role on their team. You can bet it won't be here. Regards............the Chiefjag I agree...if his ego was too large to accept the fact that he wasn't going to be a starting QB here, then it's definitely wayyyyyy too large to show any kind of humility in some sort of return to the Jags. Nice knowing you Quinny

| | Every player should have aspirations to move upwards in their career as should every person! While I understand the angst at him for being vociferous in attaining this feat, let's not sound as if its a crime of nature for an individual to aim at ascension...even if his abilities may not warrant this. I like Gray's ability and do not fault him for feeling he could grow more considering his performances in KC and in the 4 games in 08. Probably bloated expectations for himself but he was a good Jag that helped our team last year in the midst of losing his father and mentor. The cancer concept is oftentimes overblown. Its about money and that's what he wanted. If the Jags come knocking, he'll tuck his tail between his legs and come right back and we all know he doesn't have the clout or pedigree as a likely 3rd string QB to disrupt this team's chemistry, especially considering that he saw the team grow to this present state.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Go all out Mighty Jaguars! | |

| One of my best friends works at Tropical Smoothie and says Quinn has been comming in quite a bit lately, and i kid you not, every time he goes in he gets a "fat buster" smoothie. the texans released this guy because he clearly has poor work ethic as far as conditioning for the offseason. at least lemon is a guy whos young, in shape and ready to learn. i'll pass on giving gray another chance.

Nice post Britjag.
And I'll bet that most people were unaware that Gray lost his father last year. I'd think that that may have had an effect on some of his behavior issues last year. It's possible anyway.
Losing a parent is one of the toughest things to go through.(especially at a relatively young age) I know from experience.

Not everybody can handle it as well as Brett did.
Thats pretty callous & shows lack of compassion, above.

| Quinn Gray is a professional football player. The loss of his father is no excuse for his attempts to undermine Garrard.

| CatAttack78 (7/1/2008) Quinn Gray is a professional football player. The loss of his father is no excuse for his attempts to undermine Garrard. So now he attempted to undermine Garrard? Where are all of these "facts" coming from? It couldn't have been all that significant since it sure didn't hurt Garrard's (or the team's) performance last season. Will he be accused of attempted murder next?
