This is a great read.

For those who want to skip to the answer, it's Joey Harrington.  The claim is that while many others put up worse stats, longevity counts.  Harrington's were just poor enough to keep him on the field while dragging his team(s) down for a very long time.

David Carr came in 3rd.  Byron did not make the list.

Ouch!

sounds like that list with Harrington on the top should instead be titled "The worst QB ever that was good enough to actually get playing time".

if you read farther down he calls Kim McQuilken the worst ever.  I think this makes more sense.  check out those stats.  yikes!

I suffered through this in 1983 when Terry Bradshaw retired.

How about Archie Manning? 7/20 touchdown to INT and nearly 50 sacks. Garbage.

why would byron be on it?

Because people choose to personally hate him.  He's a guy who has a winning record starting on a rebuilding team.

He has 14 more TD's than INT's for his career.  He averages more than 1 TD per game.

It is remarkable the level of hatred that remains for the guy.

What’s your reaction to Hines Ward breaking rookie LB Keith Rivers’ jaw?

STEELER VIC:  Fine him? They should pin a medal on him. 10/21/2008

Classy.

why would byron be on it?

Because he didn't talk like a good QB.

Lets do this.

You know what I find incredibly annoying? Driving 18 mph through the Ole Miss campus. It really brings down your spirit when you get pulled over.
