They all seem pretty high on us but seem to think our receivers/passing game must improve. I'd say it's our defense that will determine how far we can go this season.

How dare you question Walter?

I'm glad you're a fan and welcome to the board, just be careful walking the line of respect vs. no respect here.

Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine...one that's very salient on other boards besides this one...I just hate how weak it makes our fanbase sound when we're constantly crying for respect.

The black guy on the end, the one who is an actual sportswriter, almost got it right.

Everyone seems to emphasize things like our "lack of big play ability."  But this offense set team records last year.  We got stopped in the playoffs because Tom Brady sat back there and picked us apart to the tune of 26 for 28!

The key to getting over the hump is pressure on the QB, pure and simple.  That was our major weakness when we went up against Brady and Manning last year.

I also thought it was interesting how the host kept correcting the two ex-players.  It's not Joey Porter, it's Jerry Porter, etc.

“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Göring

They all agreed with each other.  Does that mean they hashed it out in the back room before the show to come to a concensus?  That's bad.

They need to bring Walter onto their show to have someone who is capable of independent thought.

I can't stand it when supposed "experts" suggest the Jaguars should have picked up Jason Taylor with their first instead of moving up. What the Jaguars did with their first pick is so much better on so many levels that I just can't figure out what's going through their mind when they say that. They really would take one year of great play from Taylor over having a prospect on the roster who may become a staple of their team's longterm future.

BTW, it's looking like there might be a Taylor to Packers trade in the works. And while we're on the subject of trades, Jeremy Shockey intrigues me. He carries a mere $1.9 mil base salary this year. I'm picturing Shockey as our #1 TE with Marcedes as our #2, and I like what I'm seeing.

Shockey is a bit of a drama queen, but he is a tough-guy. He might fit well here, but a tough call.

His actions in the media sometimes bordered on insubordination.
