Baldingers comments about the comparisons to AP were dead on we should compare McFadden to McFadden since they play on 2 different teams and plus Minnesota's line is good and Oaklands is not... also the comparisons of Adrian Peterson to Adrian Peterson aren't accurate... he had ONE! lucky game against San Diego and broke an insignificant record since If you run for THAT! much you should be on the bench and have already put the game away... LT did it last year had 150 yards in the first 1/2 could he have broken it? yea... Fred Taylor in the 375 game... could he have broken it? yea... also Peterson is injury prone and sometimes doesn't even produce... like that game against the Redskins where the much heralded peterson had a whopping 30 yards!!! he didn't even place in the top 3 rookie all purpose yards list starting more games than Jones-Drew did...

in all honesty I don't see Adrian Peterson having a repeat year... he is injury prone and last year Defenses didn't take him seriously but now they know he's coming and will gear up to stop him. he won't have a 296 yard game ever again... I know everyone is so high on him but he just doesn't have the look of the next LT written on him...

I remember when Troy Smith was at Ohio St. in 2006 and everyone LOVED! him... I liked him but I felt he was overhyped and due for a meteoric fall since he needed some coaching on his accuracy and avoiding pressure. look what happened he got rocked by Florida in the BCS championship and the biggest game of his life (GO HARVEY #91!)... I felt so bad for him! then no one talked about him after that. I root for Troy just not if he plays the Jags... I wish the Jags had drafted him instead of Josh Gattis in the 5th round in 07...

anyway my point is that if not for the lucky 296 game would anyone even be as high on him as they are now except Viking fans? AP could be a one shot wonder...

Don't compare McFadden to Peterson since you can't make the comparison with their lines ... lol Oakland XD... if Mcfadden can learn to get over his legs dead on contact he could be productive...

maybe Darren Mcfadden is descended from these goats....

Oakland's run game was only about 4th in the NFL last year with Fargas, Jordan and Rhodes. Any of those 3 backs could have rushed for 1400 yards last season if they'd stayed healthy.

I do think Peterson is a better runner. He's quicker and has better moves IMO. I'd really look for McFadden to post about 1100 yards and 10 TD's in his first season and that's only because I don't think the pass game is going to be as good as last season.

wow. mcfadden is nothing like bush. he doesn't try to juke out 7 players at once, he doesn't dance, and he would rather knock someone on the ground than run out of bounds. in other words hes not as soft as bush. and here are some videos that prove he can run between the tackles

Those were great, and a lot of those plays should silence some of the critics. But, did you have to post highlights of games that we lost?!?!

McFadden competed in the best conference in college football, against the best defenses with the best athletes.

Why do people for a second doubt a guy who did that, and has the freakish athletic ability he possesses is beyond me.

The only true question is Oakland.

Bad team, and not a very good line.

but they were 6th in rushing last year with Fargas and LaMont Jordan. its pass blocking the line sucks at. you would think with McFadden and now Michael Bush added to the run game that it would be even better

Yeah I suppose you are right. I guess when I did not pay all that much attention to them until they were here, and they looked awful...at everything. Maybe that wasn't a good game to judge.

McFadden, imo, can be every bit as good as Peterson. I personally think he is stronger, and just as fast if not faster.
