As noted earlier, this is starting to sound like a Matt Jones thread. I can appreciate someone disagreeing about who has a better upside (DG or VY) but to argue that collegiate success are the mitigating factors doesn't make sense (Ron Dayne, Chris Weinke, etc) considering the NCAA and NFL are two completely different games. And age? If you don't have the talent or the head for the position all age says is that you are younger. Lastly, considering VY is being asked to run the ball more than DG I'd argue that VY is playing a role that will more than likely cause him to be beaten on more often. VY is a serviceable qb. There have been times where he has shined. The guy obviously has talent but he simply isn't anything better than a bottom tier starter. How many more years until he realizes his full potential as a total qb? I don't deny his supporting cast isn't anything to write home about but Jacksonville doesn't have an upper tier WR corps either. As you noted, it is your opininon that VY has this upside. It is my opinion that he doesn't and the points you noted as arguments for your opinion have no direct relationship to whether he will succeed. Offensive scheme, supporting talent, physical skills, coaching staff...those are the elements that might allow for or show success. College accolades and age? That is a big stretch. Fun thread though. 19 pages is quite noteworthy. I think it shows just how intense this rivalry is which is always a plus. So, you're saying that people didn't know Manning was going to be successful before he was drafted??? Collegiate accolades do help determine a player's value, they just simply don't determine it 100%. There are plenty of guys that didn't do much in college that go on to have successful careers playing pro, and likewise, there are guys that were worldbeaters in college, and flunk out of the NFL. Still one of the best ways we can measure a player's value. As for age difference, the problem is that you are comparing a guy that has been in the league for two seasons to a guy that has been in the league six seasons. Their roles are somewhat similar, only because Garrard recently became a starter. Young, however, is still firmly parked on the developmental side of his career. You proved exactly why you can't take accomplishments in college and apply....Thank you for debunking yourself.

| Danny Wuerffel is a better QB than Peyton Manning because Danny won a National Title in college, Because we all know College players/achievements > NFL players/achievements...
This obviously means Wonderlic6 > Captain Turnover.
You tack fans are just about a funny as your sorry a** R-tard RB trying to play QB.

Fargin (5/19/2008) Copout? You cite Charlie Casserly, Floyd Reese and Wonderlic6's Agent. All had good reason to lie. Give me a credible source and I'll believe you. If that's the best you have then we're spinning our wheels here. I thought tack1 was the most delusional tack troll, but now I'm not so sure.http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/draft/2006-03-01-young-wonderlic_x.htm The NFL did its best to silence talk about Young's test. Combine officials said the score of 6 was inaccurate. Titans GM Floyd Reese said he'd heard the first test had been administered or graded incorrectly. Texans GM Charley Casserly also disputed Young's score Sunday, saying it was inaccurate. Now prove you're not full of ****. I do think the wonderlic is a joke in and of itself, but..... A few profootballtalk.com articles I have posted you have gotten on me about the validity of the site as a whole. Not sure what your point here is. PFT broke the story to begin with (Young scoring a six on the wonderlic), only to have to apologize for misinformation later. The first "news source" in the 2nd article you posted was pft. And he did score a 6 the first "try" I never linked to PFT, though it would be quite applicable seeing as how they released this garbage to begin with, only to have to take it back later. Actually, Vince wasn't the only player this happened to, just the only name that specifically came out. It was reported that all the tests within his group were graded incorrectly. So no, he never actually scored a six. That's like as if your boss mistakenly gave you another employee's salary that was much higher than your normal salary one week, and then you saying that you earned the money. I didn't say you linked something from pft Then what the hell are you referencing??? read the second freaking article you posted Well, if it is within these quotes, that would be USAtoday, not PFT. I linked to every article I quoted, and the only other article I quoted in this thread came from the Houston Chronicle, again, not PFT.

TITAN1 (5/17/2008)
continuous (5/17/2008) Vince Young is GARBAGE
wonder if he'll break into a double digit passer rating this year.Last year opposing defenses knew our receivers were struggling and didn't worry about them so they were not going to let VY run. But, now with Chris Johnson, a healthy Lendale, Crumpler, and Hawk , they can't just contain VY, a lot more weapons now. I'm still waiting on you to name a "weapon." Oh waityour post is over? Those are the stars we have to worry about? Superstars such as Lenwhale White? We're still waiting for you to drop those "facts" on us that you say you brought to the table as well. Stating that Vince Young is good is not a fact, no matter how much you mean it. We split with you last season, without Chris Johnson, Crumpler, Hawk, and a healthy Lendale, so the way I see it, we should sweep you this season. 1

JacksJags (5/17/2008)
TITAN1 (5/16/2008) jackASSonville fans, you have to feel sorry for them, right? Not! ROTFLMAO!Psychop1.....You gotta get the reigns in on this guy. He is really making your fan base look horrible. At least you have some common sense, brains, and can bring something to the table. Come on, get the reigns on this goof ball. Goof ball? LOL! Why, because I point out your jealously and whining? You guys keep crying whats his name, Andrue Jones or whatever, not getting the ROY, yet VY broke rookie records. Oh, and nobody pulls the reigns on me, I don't come here to kiss your butt. I see something stupid posted then straighten it out with facts. When you start the season 0-1, you will see, and when the Titans finish ahead of your team, you will be calling for "wood chopper's" head. VY, Chris Johnson, and Lendale are going to make your defense look like a sorry high school team and Albert, KVB, and The Freak are going to kill your no name QB and whats his name RB, you can take that to the bank! 2
