Duane Brown  OT

#58

Dexter Jackson  WR

#71

Tavares Gooden  OLB

#89

Steve Slaton RB

#125

Arman Shields  WR

#143

Orlando Scandrick  CB

#158

Kellen Davis  TE

Compare that to Harvey, Groves, Trae Williams, Thomas Williams, and Washington.

How can anyone say that we didn't make out 10x better making the moves we did?

I love our picks, but Taveres Gooden is going to be a stud!

yuck!

"It would have been hard for me to hitch my cart to a guy who ended the season like Dave did in 2006." - Mary Garrard

Vic: Last spring and early in training camp, before the repetitions caught up with him, Walker looked like a young Jimmy Smith.

Dude, Allen isn't going anywhere.  He's either going to get tagged or a new contract.  There really are no ifs, ands, or butts about it.

Wow what a pointless thread........I mean the Jaguars would've been FORCED to take the players that were taken at those spots.

#26 - Duane Brown  OT

For the life of me, I can't understand why they did this. If he turns out to be a stud over the next few seasons, I will gladly come forward, but I think he is going to get steam-rolled on a regular basis. This guy has a long, long way to go.

Yes, I will take Harvey every day of the week and twice on Sundays over this guy.

#58 - Dexter Jackson  WR

My favorite player in the draft, and even I think this is about 2 Rounds too high for him. Tampa Bay has even stated that they drafted him to be a KR. That means he has to become Devin Hester in order to justify this. I like the potential of Q. Groves much, much more than I do this guy, and I think the world of D. Jackson.

#71 - Tavares Gooden  OLB

This guy I would have liked to have. It will be interesting to compare Thomas Williams' career with his.

#89 - Steve Slaton RB

No way, no freaking way. I feel like this guy needs gaping holes to run through and I don't know if he is going to be able to stand up to 16 weeks of punishment at the NFL level.

#125 - Arman Shields  WR

Project, pure and simple. I watched a lot of this guy locally, and he has a nice skill set, but is a long ways away yet. I feel like Trae Williams is a much better value here. Besides, I just don't know where you would put another project WR on this roster.

#143 - Orlando Scandrick  CB

I like this guy, this will be another interesting career comparision.

#158 - Kellen Davis  TE

I have no opinion on this guy.

Compare that to Harvey, Groves, Trae Williams, Thomas Williams, and Washington.

How can anyone say that we didn't make out 10x better making the moves we did?

Time will tell, but I think that we may have really come out on top with this class.

Go heavy early.

If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid.

If you compare what we did as opposed to what type of players could have ended up with.

Like Duane Brown, for example.

We desperately needed some DE's and we got a top 10 DE...plus another one who arguably could have gone in the first round.

This draft couldn't have worked out any better, as far as I'm concerned.

Your thread makes zero sense, because I can guarantee you even if the Jags didn't make the trades they still wouldn't have taken any of the picks you just listed.

Every team has their own draft board of players that fit THEIR SYSTEM. So it's almost impossible to just list the players that were taken in those slots and say "gee glad we didn't get them".......Like Duane Brown, no sh*t he would of been a bad pick for y'all.....do y'all run the Gibbs zone scheme, I think not, but we do so he's a natural fit here, again with the "every team has their own draft board".

I can tell you this though, the first round of this draft wasn't very top heavy and the talent level wasn't that much more elite than the middle rounds......but the middle rounds of this draft were very deep at multiple positions and there were a ton of talented players that could of helped and fit in your system......to act like there wasn't is to admit you have no faith in your FO's ability to evaluate and find talent in one of the deepest drafts (from rounds 2-5) in a few years.

I'm not trying to say that y'all had a bad draft or anything.......I'm just saying your thread makes absolutely zero sense, because it's entirely based on players your FO probably never even had on their board in the first place.

you really just didn't say that...Please tell me you were kidding with the above.

Thomas Williams will be lucky to still be collecting an NFL check in a few years, wheras Tavares Gooden likely has pro-bowls in his future.
