We definitely shouldn't be discussing them.Call it "Dark Blue-Green." In any case, I'm for tradition. In that I certainly agree with Vic. As much as I dislike Indy, it's impressive that their uniforms have been the same since the franchise was in Baltimore. In uniform, Peyton Manning looks a lot like Johnny Unitas. The Jags should stick with Teal "Dark Blue-Green" and White.

| | No way the black uniforms were tight. They looked pretty hard in them. I don't get why they got rid of those. It was a good jersey to wear a couple games of the season. And actually Neptune some of us do like hockey outside of russians and Canadians lol. |

| BUCKETHEAD (5/16/2008) Other than the post bashing, I agree with TMD. The black on black uniforms were by far the best looking of all. We were the only team to utilize black pants with black jerseys so it was unique. \

Now the ORIGINAL Jags uniform design was quite unique. I definitely agree. I've stated before that I would've liked to seen the Jags gain permission from the new company that owns Ford to use the original prototype for one of their games.

Theres 16?? Thats more than I thought.
...and TEAL wouldn't be one of the basic 16 you refer to!
Look, the teal is OK, I don't mean to bag on one of our colors, just don't sit there and tell me that the Jags getting rid of the best jersey they had is a "good" thing - and don't say stuff like "its about time" because thats just stupid.
I know many on here are quick to try and claim the "teal" as the Jags primary coloe.....well, I'll call you on it - if anything the teal SHOULD be THIRD in the order of importance. Last time I checked, JAGUARS had more BLACK & GOLD in them than teal,...the teal is merely a noverly to this uni.
IMO, I would love it if the Jags just had black & white as their home/ away jerseys with teal only used as filler.

Tradition, shmadition....
Ist of all...the Philadelphia Eagles are one of the more long lived franchises in the sport. If "tradition" meant anything they would have never ditched the kelly green back in 1995 for that puke-midnight green or whatever they call it.
Also, how about the Dallas Cowboys? Don't get more storied than that franchise when it comes to the NFL. I remember back in 1981, the Cowboys changed from a royal blue to the dark navy blue you see now.
So, Vic can stuff his "tradition" argument here.
The important thing was the black jersey looked good, was popular with both the fans AND players and it sold well. WHY oh WHY would you discontinue that?! For traditions sake? Gimme a break.
Also, even further expounding in my argument against Vic here - If anything, we HAD tradition by wearing those black jerseys on almost every night/ prime time game. It was becoming tradition.
