JagsFanJon2 (5/16/2008) The only change is that there will be no black jersey this season.
WHY????
Not even in the Sunday or Monday night.
Because they look like very other all black uniform in the league. Sometimes I have trouble telling the Ravens all black from our all black. Teal is our identity so that is what we wear. Get over yourself.
I always come to my conclusions by careful, scientific observation.
But only if the results of said careful, scientific observation fully corroborate my biased opinion. If It Ain't Dutch, It Ain't Much
If It Ain't Teal, It Ain't Real | |

yeah, it's about time McDonalds got rid if selling hamburgers too.....and M.A.B.? - I think its about time they ditch selling that paint stuff. Coca-Cola? IMO, they're wasting their time with cola - grape would be much better.

Like who?
DragonFury (5/16/2008) Sometimes I have trouble telling the Ravens all black from our all black.
Then let THEM change. We had the all black uni's before they did.
Bottom line is our black uni's looked good, were popular with our fans AND players and sold well. A STUPID business idea is to "fix" / change whats already working well - which the black jerseys were.
DragonFury (5/16/2008) Teal is our identity so that is what we wear. Get over yourself.
Just shut it. The teal is ghey. If anything, the teal is much better as a supporting color on the Jags uni than a primary one.

Other than the post bashing, I agree with TMD. The black on black uniforms were by far the best looking of all. We were the only team to utilize black pants with black jerseys so it was unique. Add in the teal accents and Duval looked quite imposing. Remember the monday night home game against the Steelers? The stadium is teal, the boys, in black, and the crowd was mixed teal black, and white. Don't forget the white wigglestick GOOSE EGGS that shot up. Back in black gets my vote! The Ravens & Saints use an all black uniform as well. The Jacksonville Jaguar home jersey is TEAL as registered with NFL Properties. The league ALLOWED the teams to utilize an alternate "3rd Jersey" if they so chose to for up to & only two games a season. Therefore, no matter how "marketable" it may be to the jersey wearing crowd or venerable "fashionistas", it's not in fact THE jersey of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Get over it.

| | It should also be pointed out that the Eagles, Bucs, & Lions also use a black jersey for their alternate. And of course we all know Oakland, Cinncinatti, & a certain team from Pittsburgh use black as their primary jersey color as does New Orleans. Black jerseys are in no way "unique".

| | After looking at my watch, it appears it is time for Mad Dog's daily ****fit, which has become an even greater tradition than wearing black jerseys during night games. Yes, we all know that people like the color black. That's wonderful, but the team's color is teal. That fact is further evidenced by the Jaguars organization removing the black jersey. Deal with it. Take your pills. Go to bed. And before you whine about popularity and sales, that is absolutely irrelevant. NFL viewers are not going to base their preference of a team on the colors of their uniforms. And if they do, then they are too shallow to buy tickets and actually support the team. They'll likely just spend their time trolling said team's official messageboard groundlessly ****ing about personnel issues. Also, the players do not care what color their uniforms are. You are once again just talking out of your *** and have no proof to say that black jerseys were popular amongst players. By the way, McDonald's removing hamburgers would be akin to the Jaguars removing their teal jerseys, not the black, as that color is the staple of the uniforms and franchise. Please don't try to ague that because it is all but proven at this point. Oh, and even though no one asked, teal jerseys and black pants are my favorite uniform combination, second to teal and white. Hopefully we'll see those combinations primary this season, but I'll still own tickets and not whine uncontrollably either way.

| The teal jersey with black pants is IMO the perfect combo.
They look awesome and they also don't look like anyone else's unis.
I am disappointed to see the all black jersey go though. I wouldn't have wanted it to be our every game uniform but it was a nice change of pace to see once or twice a year.
