I know they were back-to-back, but I believed that the Tennessee loss before the Jaguars game in 2006 was more damaging. When you get beat on a sixty-yard field goal kicked on that type of surface (the field was horrible in Nashville on that day) in a game you had in your fingers, it feels like a swift kick in the nuts on the part of Yao Ming's left shoe. I was wanting to play the Jaguars before last year after getting "375"'d all offseason long as part of a discussion, but I couldn't wait until week 2 when we went back to LP Field. Alll due respect to the Jaguars and other division rivals and with that being said, there isn't another game this year that I have circled more times on my proverbial calendar than the Chargers game. For some reason, that postseason loss doesn't seem as damaging as the regular season loss. Combined with our great comeback and Vinatieri's miss, that was Ming's right shoe...twice. Anyway, back on topic. Make sure that you differentiate between what you as a fan feel, and what the players feel. Losing a close game is tough, and it does hang with you, but a lot of times you can define it by saying that you were just one play away. It happens to us all. But getting blown out means that there was nothing you could do to stop a team. I remember watching back in 2000 when Jacksonville went to Indianapolis and T. Mathis almost single-handedly destroyed the Jacksonville secondary on route to a 43-14 win. As a player, those are the games that stick with you because unless you get back on track, you can really start to spiral down due to a lack of confidence.
Go heavy early.
You do not maintain perfection, you work for it everyday.

NWestJagsFan (5/19/2008) After looking around the league, I'd have to list it this way.
1- John Gruden
2- Jack Del Rio
3- Andy Reid
4- Just flew my brain, but the Cardinals coach.....
5- Mike Tomlin
Overrated?? Simple.
Herm Edwards.
Mike Holmgren
Lovie Brown
Jeff Fisher.
Is that first five your list of the best coaches in the league? I hope not. You'd honestly put TOmlin on the list after ONE year as head coach?
For a first year coach, with a total different game plan the Cowher had, he did **** good. Ya, he showed inexperience in the playoffs, but that is to be expected.

| It would have been good coaching had he not had those good players bailing him out of those bad decisions he consistently made.
Wait... no, it would still make him a horrible decision maker.

| | Over rated: Mike Shanahan, and Belicheat. They cheated their assess off to build their rep. Under rated: **** Juaron for a lack of a better answer. In this over hyped league it is hard to find someone that is under rated. TC was before, but not after winning the SB. |

There is no way you can put a first year coach that is 0-1 in the playoffs and who was coaching in his first year the defending SB champs in the top five in the league over any coach that has won a SB, which would be Gruden, Dungy, Holmgreen, BB, Shanahan and Brian Billick. |
