| I agree with the Dad here, that "teacher" shouldn't be in the class room. Thank You Teachers Unions for "Teachers" like this.... 6th-grade survey: Classmate most likely to get pregnant. Dad of honor student picked demands teacher be fired A 6th-grade teacher in Jackson, Miss., asked her class to take a survey to determine which of their classmates were most likely to get pregnant, die and contract AIDS before graduation from high school. Now the father of the honor student selected as most likely to get pregnant wants the teacher fired, according to local station WAPT. Curtis Lyons said he found out about the survey when his daughter came home from Chastain Middle School Monday. "She was humiliated," Lyons said. "She's an honor student." | Don't get me started on the school systems. It's gone from teaching kids what they need to know and letting them go from there, to a giant petri dish for education programs in "Universities" where some of the experiments have gone horribly wrong.

Yes, the teacher was wrong in this case. However, I think the Dad needs a wake up call too. Just because your little daughter is an Honor Student in SIXTH GRADE does not mean that she will be free from temptation in high school (unless she's a major bow wow) and that she is above getting pregnant. I could be wrong but I don't think intelligence counteracts sperm as well as spermicide.

| Maybe she's hot and all of her classmates want to hit it. Seriously, that's pretty bad for education in general.

| | If I were the dad I would be mad at the teacher too. I would also be worried why all of the classmates thought his daughter had a good shot at getting pregnant....

Most likely you are right. My only question is, what does Momma look like?

6th graders by and large are really immature and to be asked to comment on an adult subject like that is beyond absurdity. The girls probably twirled their hair and dreamed of motherhood and stuff and the boys probably didn't even answer the question. I am quite sure my son who's a 6th grader would have thought the question as astoundingly dumb, and driven him to hold his teachers in more derision than he already (quietly) does. And that's the sad part. It's really not the teachers, it's the stupid educational programs they're brainwashed to believe are "state of the art".
The most that's accomplished by this would be the young lady set up by peer pressure. If I were her Dad, I'd be absolutely furious.

| | Schools have gone ape. Especially where I live. A whole rash of misconduct by school teachers that out of respect for the under 18 crowd that might log on to this board I'm not even going to repeat. Lets just say it makes hottie pants what's her name look very very VERY tame. potato p-o-t-a-t-o potato |
