I just think it's funny how now that "all the tapes" have been leaked to the media and there "allegedly" is no tapes on the Rams practice, the NFL is doing their ****dest to sweep it under the rug and act like nothing happened.

The best imo, is on Total Access tonight, they had Eisen and Rod Woodson breaking down some of the film released, and Woodson went on to say how he felt the tapes "couldnt really help anyway".

Meanwhile, the tapes only showing EVERYTHING an o.c. would need to know about the team's coverages and alignments, but yeah Rod, that's all nonsensical stuff when it comes to gameplanning right?

Way to toe the company line Rod. That show lost whatever credibility it had with me tonight when it comes to the journalism side of things.

BTW, maybe it's me, but Walsh looks like a guy that got a large sum of money and a visit from some "business associates", to keep his mouth shut and hand over whatever Super Bowl tapes he had, to be taken care of .

So you and your video crew WERE at the walk through with cameras, but nothing was shot, you just HAPPENED to make mental notes of their offensive alignments and special teams tricks? Riiiiiight.

It wasn't until I replaced "NFL" with "Illuminati" and then "Freemasons" in this post that I really got the gist of what you were saying. Is your chinstrap made of tinfoil, too?

I guess you don't believe the most popular sporting league in the United States wouldn't go to any measure to protect the public's perception of the integrity of it's product?

John Henry must be of the kool-aid drinking ilk who can't fathom that American Business is corruptible. Personally, I don't think you can consider Goodell impartial, seeing how it's his job to pursue the best interest of the NFL (whatever he may perceive that to be...) Arlen might be of some utility.

The smart thing to do, in my opinon, is to crack down on ole' Billy Boy. The public wants it and he sure as **** deserves it. Goodell calling it a done deal is a mistake; and I don't know that the journalists in places like St. Louis will let it die.

I know, for one, I'll be yelling "cheaters!" as loud and as long as I can when the Pats come to Jax for the AFC Conference Championship later in the season.

The NFL wants the white boy heroes of teddy bruschi and tom brady (and to a lesser extent manning) to be all american superheroes.

I have watched Brady and the P*ts closely as both a jets and jags fan.  WE CAN ALL IMAGINE how beneficial it would be to know what the offensive/defensive sets and patterns are when they are called.  They will know where the holes and susceptibility are.  Brady will know who is going to be open.

I am losing what little respect I had left.  seriously.

To the NFL: I GET IT.  I know why you do this.  Michael Irvin, Michael Vick, Chris Henry, Adam "Pacman" Jones... the list is absurd.

They want the problem to go away with little uproar.  Same with the obvious piped-in noise from Minnesota and Indy.  From a guy who works with the media fellas, TRUST ME, you are seeing damage control.  No showing crowd shots with "cheaters" signs.  No talking about it without the word "alleged".  Recognize that the most profitable and mass marketable product in the entire US (possibly short of microsoft windows) isn't gonna admit their product is now nor ever was tainted.  Ever.  The case will end with, "taping was illegal, the punishment for taping was handed down, and they tapes were never used- blah blah blah nothing useful on those tapes...."  The powers that be will never surrender an admission of anything that quesitons the integrity.

PS- Neither will nascar, WWE, baseball, the oil companies...etc

There is a rampant problem with steroids in baseball- only brought to light because of a whistle blower named jose canseco who has retired... but magically there are rarely any cases discovered in football???????  We are to believe Lyle Alzado acted alone????  NBA refs are gambling and fixing games- but they say that was an isolated case?????, online ticket scalpers getting exclusive access to events before the sale to the public?????

... pro-sports are testing me

Yah, I agree for the most part.

Goodell needs to get with it. If he doesn't want to see "18-1* CHEATERS!!" signs at every single Pats game next year, fights breaking out at all their games, etc, he'd better suspend ole' Billy.
