nate (5/5/2008) Make fun if you wish, tumbleweed.
Someone's shot. Several someone's.
One of the someone's was leaving Marvin's bar.
After a physical altercation.
With Marvin.
Shot witha gun. A rare gun.
Marvin's GUN.
A gun he lied about.
A gun in his immediate physical vincinity.
Clot fans can only hope that this story has some or most of the facts wrong. That's all well and good (assuming it's all true, which at least some of it is)....my point is simply to keep Marvin and the incident the issue here. This Freeman guy is attempting to make the gun the issue, as has Sal Palentonio (sp?). Making the this whole thing about the gun is pretty assumptive and arrogant to me....unless the gun itself is somehow illegal, which I'm pretty sure it is not. To me it's like, after a drunk driving accident, asking why someone had vodka in their liquor cabinet to begin with.....totally misses the point. The gun is registered to Harrison, what are they missing? I realize that. I'm talking about the fact that these guys are up in arms about the CALIBER of the gun. The insinuation by these guys, if you read & listen to them, seems to be that Marvin bought the gun for the purpose of going out & killing cops or something.....otherwise, 'why would he NEED such a powerful gun in the first place'. I honestly don't get that feeling from any of the ones I read. A national sports write Mike Freeman certainly talked about that. But as far as these post go I don't see that insinuation. Actually PFT made a posting about why would Harrison need a gun like that? I guess my response to that would be...if you have alot of money, why not? Its a gun, and its of good quality. The real question would be why was that gun at the bar? How did it get there? Did Harrison know that it was at the bar? If true, how did it end up in a bucket at his car wash? Alot of questions need to be answered. Until then, we will talk crap about Harrison.......because, if it was a Jaguar you would be saying the same stuff we are Haven't you guys had more players than any other team arrested in the last few years??? I know the competition has been tight with the Jags and Bengals. Pretty ballsy statement since the Tacks had a ton of points last year in "Turd Watch". The Fins "won" last season. Early lead in the AFC South race goes to the Tacks....although a Harrison arrest could jumo you guys. Better get a move on! First of all, I led with a question, an unanswered question at that, not a statement. Second of all, Dolphins won Turd Watch, but the Jags were second, and had plenty points more than the Titans or any other team, barring the Dolphins. Now, on to that question again. Haven't you guys had more players arrested in the last few years than any other team??? It's only relevant because "Until then, we will talk crap about Harrison.......because, if it was a Jaguar you would be saying the same stuff we are". Yes the Jags were second. The Titans now lead the Jags by a good bit. I guess we have learned from the past huh? Still a pretty ballsy statement considering you weren't real low on the turd watch either, and are doing rather well.....if well can be used here in the standings thus far. Again, it was a question, not a statement, and it still goes unanswered at that. It had nothing to do with Turd Watch. Let's try again. Haven't you guys had more players than any other team arrested in the last few years??? I don't know if you have or haven't, but I know it's close. Again, this is only because "Until then, we will talk crap about Harrison.......because, if it was a Jaguar you would be saying the same stuff we are". It's been a Jaguar many times, and rival fans hardly ever mention it. I will admit to making fun of Sharon when he was arrested though. He was apparently too underpaid to buy a gun, so he had to steal one. Being high on the Turd watch standings I would have to assume that yes is the answer to your question. My guess is that it was never brought up because the "crimes" were not as high profile as what Harrison name is involved in. Sleeping in a car at a Mickey D's drunk is just not as "sexy" a story as Harrison's.

| | JJ, pft.com had information with regards to a hit on Harrison's father. It should have been an article that was on their website yesterday. Could you track it down? Jeff Saturday spoke at a high school yesterday around twenty minutes from where I live. He was asked about the Harrison situation, and said that Harrison is embarassed by it and said that he was "at a place he shouldn't have been."

Maybe 'wrong place, wrong time' would fit better there.
