Police: Harrison 'not a suspect at this point'
by FOXSports.com

Updated: May 6, 2008, 11:54 AM EST

Police do not currently consider Marvin Harrison a suspect in a shooting that took place in Philadelphia last week, according to a report on the Indianapolis Star Web site.

"He's not a suspect at this point," police spokesperson Tanya Little told The Star Tuesday morning, declining further comment.

Multiple published reports last week indicated that Harrison was under investigation for the shooting.

Reports this week have said that bullets used in the shooting came from a gun owned by the Colts' star wide receiver.

Harrison, in an interview with police last week, admitted to being involved in a fistfight prior to the gunfire, but insisted he had no part in the shooting, the Philadelphia Daily News reported on its Web site.

The victim in the case has thus far refused to identify the gunman.

In an exclusive conversation with FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer last week, Harrison's agent, Tom Condon, denied a report implicating Harrison in the shooting.

"Marvin Harrison was not involved in any shooting," Condon told Glazer. "The report is erroneous."

*********************************************************************************

Here's my conspiracy theory: Condon, Harrison and Bill Polian contacted the victom and paid him off to be quiet. This said pay off includes a life supply of Winston's Full flavored, Makers Mark Whiskey and season tickets to the Eagles for life. What do you think?

Make fun if you wish, tumbleweed.

Someone's shot. Several someone's.

One of the someone's was leaving Marvin's bar.

After a physical altercation.

With Marvin.

Shot witha gun. A rare gun.

Marvin's GUN.

A gun he lied about.

A gun in his immediate physical vincinity.

Clot fans can only hope that this story has some or most of the facts wrong.

That's all well and good (assuming it's all true, which at least some of it is)....my point is simply to keep Marvin and the incident the issue here. This Freeman guy is attempting to make the gun the issue, as has Sal Palentonio (sp?). Making the this whole thing about the gun is pretty assumptive and arrogant to me....unless the gun itself is somehow illegal, which I'm pretty sure it is not. To me it's like, after a drunk driving accident, asking why someone had vodka in their liquor cabinet to begin with.....totally misses the point.

The gun is registered to Harrison, what are they missing?

The gun itself isn't. However, if it was used in a crime - which clearly it was - Harrison can be legally responsible for that, as I understand it - whether he was the shooter or not. And as has been pointed out already, that would be grounds for serious sanctions by the NFL in and of itself. So in this case it's extremely relevant.

Harrison could be charged in shooting

Posted: Wednesday May 07, 2008 07:04AM ET

Under Pennsylvania law, Marvin Harrison can be charged with a misdemeanor if it's proven his gun was used in a shooting, even if someone else pulled the trigger. If Harrison is found to have been involved in any gun-related crime, it could subject him to discipline, including a suspension, by the NFL under its Guns and Weapons Policy or Personal Conduct Policy.

And that seems like it could be best case scenario for him.

I realize that. I'm talking about the fact that these guys are up in arms about the CALIBER of the gun. The insinuation by these guys, if you read & listen to them, seems to be that Marvin bought the gun for the purpose of going out & killing cops or something.....otherwise, 'why would he NEED such a powerful gun in the first place'.

I honestly don't get that feeling from any of the ones I read. A national sports write Mike Freeman certainly talked about that. But as far as these post go I don't see that insinuation.

Actually PFT made a posting about why would Harrison need a gun like that?  I guess my response to that would be...if you have alot of money, why not?  Its a gun, and its of good quality.

The real question would be why was that gun at the bar?  How did it get there?  Did Harrison know that it was at the bar?  If true, how did it end up in a bucket at his car wash?  Alot of questions need to be answered.

Until then, we will talk crap about Harrison.......because, if it was a Jaguar you would be saying the same stuff we are
