Mel has us at the bottom of the south in the draft and is ocnstantly talking about the trade for jason taylor.  i figured this out last season (althouhg i should have figured it our a while ago).  these guys care about nothing but their reputation.  he was all on the trade's leg talking about inside information that it wil cost this and this will happen and so on and so forth.  then when it falls through he looks like an who made stuff up.  to protect his ego he has to try and say that his idea was the know all end all of ideas and that anyone who doesn't do what he said is stupid.

the truth is that we did get jason taylor in the second round, just a younger version in quentin groves.

the most emberassing thing was that he gave clevland a b+ because they traded all their draft picks for players.  how the hell do you get a... anyway.

We will all have to make the choice between what is right, and what is easy.

Give freely unto others, be brave in the face of your enemies, love those who hate you for those who hate you will only win if you hate them back, be generous with praise-it costs nothing, love all men, and fear not for he will come.

There will come a day when the courage of good men will fade away and the tyranny of the weak will destroy mankind..., but today does not have to be that day!

remembe this day men, for it is the curse of man that they forget...

Kiper has officially become the class clown when it comes to the draft.   He constantly contradicts himself.  I believe the presense of McShay has him grasping for attention so he has become more of a shock jock to get attention.

For the record, the USA Today gave Houston & Tennesee a D and the Jags a B+

He's a Ravens fan and he's upset we absolutely smoked them in a trade.

Had I started in 2003, This team would have seen a SB by now.

Starting from right now, with the team in it's current state, I could have this team in a SB within 2 years/ seasons.

I keep seeing him talk about the Ravens have one of the best drafts from a value stand point. Are you kidding me Mel? Trading up to 18 to get Flacco?

I thought the Ravens already had Kyle Boller... ?

I really don't even like Flacco. I think it's hilarious when a guy is a fourth-rounder or so after the season, and then in the massive buildup to the draft somehow makes it up to a "great value" at pick #18 overall. Flacco has HORRIBLE mobility in the pocket...I could see him turning out just like Leftwich, though maybe with a little quicker release but not quite as good of decision-making. If you're going to trade up for a QB, why not Brohm? I think Brohm could be better than every QB except Ryan in this draft (that's not out of the question either).

Kiper is simply bashing us because of the value he assigned to Harvey on "his" board. He HAS to defend his rankings hard, or no one will take them seriously. If he was to love the pick of the #23 guy on his board at #8 overall, that would seem kind of strange. Of course, the fact that Harvey was lower than 15 on his board is a joke, but still...

That's what I've been saying about Flacco. If they were so in love with Flacco, they could have signed Leftwich off the street. It's basically the same guy.

It's too bad they failed at developing Boller, he's got nice tools.
