Watching Chauncey Washington run the football, he reminds me so very much of Marion Barber. Does anyone else see the comparison?

I actually think that Chauncey Washington may be faster and may have more power than Marion Barber.

Can Chauncey Washington ultimately be as successful as Marion Barber has become in Dallas?

Is there any doubt that Chauncey Washington is a more talened RB than LenWhale White?

Though I agree with most of your posts, you're delusional on this one. MBIII  is a beast. CW hasn't played a down. C'mon Stigma,.

I think he is a lot more comparable to Len(whale)Dale White with a little more speed. When I watched his youtube highlights he doesn't look like he has the ability to burn the secondary.

yes, he is just as if not more punishing than marion barber.  he riuns hard throug the hole, breaks arm tackles, and it takes people rallying to the ball to bring him down.

people questioned his long speed but he ran sub 4.4 at his pro day.  the kid has the ability to break long runs and more natural talent than barber.

really he was not supposed to fall this far.  vic said it, this was a wachy draft.  mike hart runs a 4.7 and the colts take him who run nothing but stretch plays to the outside that he is not athletic enough for.  and chauncey washington a tough punishing runner from USC who runs 4.4 or lower at his pro day is left till the 7th round.  the more i look at this kid the mroe excited i get.  i think that longterm he could replace fred as he retires and be the lightning fast thunder to mojo's thunderous lightning.

the biggets question about washington coming out of college was intelligence in blitz pickup.  well he no longer has to do calculus homework to stay on the field and mojo is going to be the third down back or th guy in there on passing situations anyway.  all we are going to ask him to do is carry the ball and break tackles.  i think he can do that day one.  I think that he represents a ton of value in the second round and he has the potential to be a starter in this league.

that's because most of the time he was getting hit in the first five yards.  the kid runs sub 4.4

One thing that Chauncey Washington definitely has to work on is his blocking and blitz pickup. During the Senior Bowl he looked pretty bad when it came to blocking as the lead back.

Just because Washington COULD run over guys doesnt mean he goes looking for them like Barber does.  Marion the Barbarian!  he looks for guys to run over.  Heck, Fred has the ability to do that as well he just doesnt.  there arent many who do.

among the things we need to watch out for, they say he had trouble with his weight.  and that he was kind of a lazy weightroom guy.  couple the fact that he couldnt play for a couple years due to academics and it makes you wonder how serious he takes it all.  if you are a football player, you have to try to not get passing grades.  if you just do what they say, theyll pass you.  but you have to go out of your way to fail.

from a physical standpoint he has a lot of what you want in a RB.  but its a matter of him showing up with his head on straight.  if the guy acts like a pro, gives it 100%, we'll have quite the steal.

We already have a runner like that (but better) in MJD.
