Avery Atkins is deceased.

and that was after he was kicked off the Florida team, joined the Bethune-Cookman program, and then left them.  whoever made that list is way behind the times.

They also have Trevor Ford on the list as a corner from FSU. He left the team two years ago and is with FAU now.

OK, so I am a draft junkie. What is a fella going to do about it but offer up another mock draft.

Since this is all fantasy, I figure the Jags are coming off a Super Bowl victory and are picking last in each round.

Rd 1(32): Lawrence Wilson - DE - Ohio State - 6'6" 270 lbs 4.62/40

Wilson broke his leg in 2007 but has great size and speed but probably not enough to get him selected any earlier than the top of Rd 2. Wilson will provide the Jags with a LDE prospect that can offer some pass rush.

Rd 2(64): Demonte Bolden - DT - Tennessee - 6'6" 295 lbs 4.95/40

Bolden regressed some his junior season, but is pretty stout against the run and has the size that the Jags like in their DTs.

Rd 3(96): Chris Clemons - S - Clemson - 6'1" 205 lbs 4.42/40

Clemons plays FS for Clemson, but the NFL is trending towards more coverage from their Cover 2 Safeties and Clemons has ballhawk abilities, with the size to come up into the box. Basically a big CB type Safety.

Rd 4(131): Dannelle Ellerbe - OLB - Georgia - 6'1" 234 lbs 4.58/40

A very active OLB that can man all three LB spots and make a lot of tackles. Ellerbe will be taking the roster spot left open when the Jags do not re-sign Mike Peterson.

Rd 5(165): Mike Wallace - WR - Ole Miss - 6'0" 185 lbs 4.32/40

The Big Play WR for Ole Miss that lead the conference in yards per catch at 19.1. Also had six TD receptions over 35 yard. It is possible the Reggie Williams is not re-signed.

Rd 6(199): Brett Helms - OC - LSU - 6'2" 290 lbs 5.12/40

Started at Center in 2006 and helped LSU win another National Championship.

I figured you would have an OT in round 1 or 2.  You are figuring Khaliff Barnes to be gone right?

No, I am thinking that Khalif Barnes turns it all around and helps the team to get to the Super Bowl. If he does not turn it around, can the Jags make it to the Super Bowl without him?

No, the theme of this subsequent draft is to complete the rebuilding of the DLine by adding a LDE to replace Spicer and a DT that can work into the rotation. Then a Safety to give the Jags some depth at the position, even though I think Sensabaugh has a big season.

To complete the defensive refurbishing, the Jags take a fast, athletic OLB that can man any of the three LB spots replacing Mike Peterson.
