Matt Stafford is going to blow Tebow out of the water when it comes to being an NFL ready QB. I like to watch Tebow, but he is a college QB/FB hybrid. Stafford is a classic drop back, pro-style QB. He should go higher than Tebow if they both came out. Maybe I should have done the '*sarcasm*' thing under the post.

| Stigma (4/28/2008) I believe that Matt Stafford of Georgia will be the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft.
I don't know if he would go #1. He would have to have an outstanding season and postseason workouts. He has been very up and down so far, granted he will only be a junior this season.
He can be looked at as a Jamarcus Russell type (not physically obviously). He has shown flashes, but doesn't always play big in big games and doesn't play his best consistently. |

I was wondering if people really thought Tebow was going to be that good in the NFL. I think he will be good, but not THAT good. He has been "charmed" so far though, so you never know.

Some of you people need to take off your blind hater glasses and see that Tim Tebow is the real deal, he is a true sophmore and throw all over and ran thru the SEC last year. No he is not gonna be running like that all the time in the NFL, but any coach would want a QB with that kind of toughness and the ablity to throw the ball as well as he does. If he goes to a team without a OL you know he can take the pounding. All us Jag fans love Garrard, and Tebow would be the same type of QB in the NFL, he just plays for a big school, which will make him a top draft pick. Dont for get he also has geat passion, a winner, and a good guy all around.

I was just saying he may not be as good of an NFL QB as he is in college. As I said, Matt Stafford will probably be better due to his style of play. But Tebow finds a way to win and get it done, that is for sure.

| Or the fact that he plays in a gimmick Offense that wouldn't last until halftime of a NFL exhibition game that wildly over-inflates his production.

| | I can't help but question his ability to digest an NFL playbook and NFL defenses. Who knows. I don't think Tebow translates well.. but people said he wouldn't be an accurate QB and he has been and still has time to improve his mechanics. Remember guys.. God is on his side. Anything is possible.
