| Both teams have had great drafts. I know a lot people are scratching their heads at Atlanta trading up for Baker, but he was skyrocketing up boards the week before the draft. He'd have been a Top 10 pick last year if he came out and hurt his stock when he got injured last season.
These teams will be better sooner than later.

| KC's could have been a lot better considering some of the trades Herm Edwards turned down. NO offered him to swap picks (5 and 10) a 2nd rounder and a 1st next year to move up to 5. I'd have taken that, especially for a team they're basically blowing up and taken Albert then Otah and had my two OT's for seasons to come.

Why would a player have to skyrocket up a draft board? If he was really that great, he'd be up there to begin with.
I've never understood a guy shooting up or down a draft board. Just rank 'em and deal with it. Most guys who 'skyrocket' up a board end up being busts.

| | Looks to me like KC, Pittsburg and Baltimore all had pretty solid drafts in the AFC. Lots of potential for atleast a Wild Card "battle royal." |

Schefter reported it incorrectly. It was for a #1 and a #2. Not all 3 picks, from what I heard. No F.O. is that stupid to not make that trade |

It happens when teams realize they over analyze players. They spend 3 months ripping players apart. Like I said, Sam Baker would have been the No. 2 overall LT in last years draft and a Top 10 pick. He was pushed down the rankings this year because he got injured in the past season. When players shoot back up boards, it's because teams realize their being overly analytical on guys and "talk themselves" out of players.

Based on what? Being a 4 year starter at one of the most talented schools in the NCAA? IIRC, he was also a freshman all-american, and 3-time all-american.
He's an LT all the way, he's not a RT player at all. They're generally power tackles, he's a finesse blocker.

| TheClotTroll (4/27/2008) Kansas City, too.I don't agree. You have to factor the loss of Jared Allen into the draft.
