It doesn't take 8 years to build a franchise ..... see the Panthers/Jags initial 5 years. http://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker#tab:dt-by-team|team-hou I love your draft Has your season ticket holders burned down the city yet?

| First, regarding the comment about our success speaks for itself, blah, blah, blah. Id like to point out to everyone this NFL fans brain that posted before me works in a way where he cant seem to get over the fact that Charley Casserly and Dom Capers do not run this team anymore.
Not to mention the Panthers/Jags had extra first round picks and started in a brand new era of free agency where they had a fresh bank account full of money to spend and not the restrictions teams face today as free agency has evolved. Use Brain cells Hurricane.
Second, I think our draft went pretty darn good. Alex Gibbs picked 4 Tackles that were first day worthy that he gave his seal of approval on. The Texans have NEVER picked an OT in the first round and have been blasted by rival fans and "experts" around the league for it. So the first 3 tackles were gone, so we trade back and STILL get a tackle that Gibbs says is a great fit and will be perfect for us, and RB Steve Slaton for the trade back. Our offensive line should now be a strength on this team in the near future. We get a raw corner that has everything it takes to be a big time CB in this league, the only knock is his competition. Adibi was a STEAL in the 4th. And if once first round rated Okam gets coached up and he simply plays to his potential... he will also be a steal in the 5th.
Our big needs were LT, CB, and RB.... and we got a player at each position. Good overall draft by the Texans. |

What the hell are you talking about? This is year three of Kubiak and Smith and the very first year we are going to install the "pure Denver (zone)" scheme..........not the hybrid Denver zone and GB power block crap., hence the drafting of the prototypical zone LT who can get to the second level.

Have your season ticket holders bought enough tickets to avoid a blackout or to take the tarps off yet? I didn't think so... Most Texan fans are pleased with the way the Texans drafted. It's good to see the Jags are trying to copy us and took a DE in the first. They are just a couple years behind us

Seems to me it took us till year two. I know I know we got extra draft picks, blah blah blah....you would think by year 6 you would have done something productive. Unfortunately...you havent.

Its called Charley Cassery and Dom Capers. They drove us into the ground in 4 years. No one is going to argue that we were not horrible in those years when they were in charge. It has taken practically a miracle to turn this team around and go from 2-14, to 6-10, and most recently 8-8 by the new regime. 6 years to get to .500... yes, not great overall. But from where we were just a couple years ago to todays team is light years different. |
