| NFL.com has a Chad Johnson interview that was done today and after reading it, it only opened my eyes more to how passionate Chad is about this game and just wants to go to a team where he has a chance of winning a Super bowl before he retires, and I can't say I blame him, he deserves it.
So with that said and after reading that interview I'm back on my horse about getting Chad Johnson, and I think with the horrible draft year that this is for what we need, we should trade our 1st, 3rd, and a 3rd in 2009 + Matt Jones for Chad Johnson from the Bengals.
I mean honestly, who in this draft really intrigues you enough to use a first round and invest big money in that you truly believe is going to come in and be a difference maker in our team for this 08-09 Super bowl run?? Exactly nobody in that draft offers us that in the positions we need.
We resign Hayward, and after the draft and training camp there are going to be veteran DE/DTs available to pick up for less money to add depth.
This really seems like the logical choice for us, especially since Allen is off the board, and Miami wants way too much for Taylor.

Riding the Brian Witherspoon bandwagon. ______________________________________________________________ Titansfan9157 (8/24/2007) VY is already a top 5 QB in this league. He just wins games. And no need for Fred Taylor or MJD we have Chris Henry... he will be better then both of them after this year. Just like Vince Young was last year. BOOK IT. | |

Randy Moss went for a 4th. Terrell Owens a 2nd. and you wanna give up a 1st and two 3rds for Chad Johnson? come on now...

| Now everyone here knows I'm the biggest Chad Johnson homer...
But we don't need any more WRs, unless Chad comes for a 3rd/4th round pick,
NAY.

| T.O. doesn't measure up to Chad Johnson, plus the Eagles were dieing to get rid of him.
Moss put up 500 yards total and 3 touchdowns the year he was traded from the Raiders to the Patriots. A fourth round was generous lol
Chad has had six consecutive back to back to back to back to back to back 1000 plus yards receiving, that is called consistency, and he is the player that opens up the field and draws a double team for an offense. That is why Cinnci's other receivers numbers look so good because there are two men on CJ and only that leaves gaps and routes open for the other WR. He is the man that signifies the Bengals passing ability.
He is definitely worth 1st (2008) and 2nd (2009) + Matt Jones
or
1st and 3rd (2008) 3rd (2009) + Matt Jones

| | yeah, let's not forget the fact that the bengals have nooooooo intention of letting chad out of the agreement (contract) he willingly signed and gladly excepts paychecks from. chad johnson needs to sit out the year like he said he would after that maybe i will consider revisiting this topic. |

| Ok so lets say we trade for Chad... And he starts whining about something again. How dumb do you think that will make us look.

| ^You really think the Bengals are going to let him sit at home and collect the millions they owe him this year for his contract?
He has guaranteed money which means he gets paid either way, so basically they are going to spend money on nothing.
I really believe they're holding out until tomorrow to receive a great deal from a team like the Jaguars, Washington, Carolina, etc who want a great player this off season and willing to give up draft picks in a weak draft class.
