| | I don't know what all the trade will entail, but I think we make some kind of deal with Miami involving Jason Taylor or possibly just swapping some picks. In this scenario Miami ends up with Jake Long (1), Jerod Mayo (26, from Jags) and Chad Henne (32). We get their # 64 3rd round pick and Jason Taylor. Our picks are DuJuan Morgan (58) and RB Kevin Smith (64). 1. Mia- OT Jake Long 2. Stl- DE Chris Long 3. Atl- DT Glenn Dorsey 4. Oak- DE V. Gholston 5. K.C- QB Matt Ryan 6. NYJ- RB Darren McFadden 7. | I like Morgan's value there.. I just wonder if K. Smith could be had later. I wouldn't be disappointed though.. I'm still a little on the fence about a first rounder for Taylor.
11-04-08 I can see the brewery from my house.

I'm still a little on the fence about a first rounder for Taylor.Yeah, I don't like Jason Taylor straight up for our #26, but with Miami's high 3rd round pick thrown in I think it would be a good deal. Could we get a better DE at #26? Probably not. If Merling is still around though, they probably don't pull the trigger on this deal. We will have to wait and see how it shakes out.

| If and when Merling goes off the board b4 26, things change, IMHO.

| I would rather trade our 1st rounder to Atlanta for a couple of picks instead of for Jason Taylor. I don't like the Taylor move at all. Trade our 1st and a 3rd for 2 of Atlanta's 2nd rd picks. They get their QB at the bottom of RD 1 and we get our DE, DT, S, whatever we want where they fit into the draft.

Which DE could you draft in the 2nd or 3rd who is going to put a butt in every seat at the stadium?

| | Here's how it could go with no trades: 1. SS Tyrell Johnson, Arkansas St -depth at Safety, possible starter at SS 2. DE Jason Jones, East Michigan- big, fast DE rising up the boards 3. RB Kevin Smith, Central Florida- very productive RB, groomed for later 3. LB Marcus Howard, Georgia- played DE in college, ran a 4.42, more pass rush 4. TE Kellen Lewis, Michigan St- big, fast, strong blocker...bye Wrighster 5. CB Trae Williams, South Florida- continue to strengthen secondary 5. OT Tony Hills, Texas- talented OT who could develop into starter 5. WR Marcus Monk, Arkansas - 6'5" speedster from Arkansas...but a real WR
