That was fun while it lasted.

Lets get Taylor here for our second round pick.

VY is already a top 5 QB in this league. He just wins games. And no need for Fred Taylor or MJD we have Chris Henry... he will be better then both of them after this year. Just like Vince Young was last year. BOOK IT.

This move should also allow a better DE fall to us in the first round.

No it shouldn't.

Shame we couldn't land him. No sense breaking the bank trying to do it, though.

Here's the thing: Jared was a fourth rounder who had an immediate impact (9 sacks his rookie campaign).

I'd like to see the Jags pick the BAP first round, hopefully an O-lineman, if he is the BAP. Then, draft a couple DEs in later rounds. Find yourself another Justin Durant-type.

Then win the superbowl.

Sounds easy, right?

$74 mil overall with $31 mil guaranteed and a first and two third round picks?  No thanks.  Oface is right...especially when Allen was initially a 4th rounder.

HIGH SCORE (4/23/2008)

It just means the Chiefs will use the Vikings pick to draft a DE to fill the open slot I see the kid from Florida going there.

I think this trade will go down as one of the worst trades in history like the Herschal Walker deal with the Vikings and the Cowboys and the Saints when they gave up their draft for Ricky Williams. He is going to get paid, then drunk and then suspended.

Here's the thing...I just don't see this really putting the Vikes in any better position.  I mean, they already had a stout defense...just didn't have the O to back it up.  Peterson was a breath of fresh air for them last year, but they don't really have the overall depth to be a serious contender in my opinion. And now they've mortgaged their future on a guy who's one too many drinks away from being a serious liability to his team.

Good player. He got to much. The Vikes gave up way to much for 1 guy.
