| | My guess is 1 - 4 games.. He'll write some B.S. apology to the staff, players, and fans.. If people look to football for role models and good guys.. they're looking in the wrong place. I'm not saying what he did wasn't that serious.. but it just amazes me how people get all upset over these kinds of things.. Shouldn't we expect it by now? If you're not a fan of the team I don't see a big reason to get all upset. Now tell me how they have this responsibility to act a certain way.. a lot of these guys didn't come from Deer Creek and Julington Plantation.. a lot of them weren't raised in the All-American household some of us may have come up in. What he did is still stupid.. but so are the people who are still amazed and endlessly angry about it.

I notice what you highlighted, but don't you think he'll be there to play the 2nd half of the season? One time offense.. He has a long way to go to be Pacman JR. Think about when FSU was recruiting him.. would you disagree that he already had a firearm and a bag of weed somewhere? I personally know Marcus Thomas had a big bag of weed while he was being recuited to be some role model for fans. Teams generally know what they're getting. I love how Americans can own a firearm and smoke weed.. but when a football player does the same it is purely terrible and disappointing.

I actually didn't highlight it. I guess it did it automatically. I agreed with everything. As long as he doesn't get a felony for the firearm he should be back after the first few games.

I'd just like to know how people get caught. It's not that hard to get away with things in this country. |

People get upset because they are investing millions of dollars into this program and university. He may very well have been from a thug life, but as soon as FSU took him in they gave him every opportunity in the world to get out of that thug mentality, and invested their money in him by giving him a free ride to everything, and he signed a contract. He's breaching his contract with this university and it's unacceptable. Not only should he be punished for the felony and drug charges, but he should be punished for being plain STUPID! It's not about being a role model, it's about him knowing how much he has at stake and if he is going to not care and risk that along with this university's reputation then he deserves to be thrown off of the team and back into his thug life that he came from, since that's apparently what he wants.

I stated if you are a fan that being upset is justified and expected. I agree with your points.. just don't be surprised when stuff like this happens. BTW - his University's reputation? Uh.. A little late to try and save that one.. along with some other big schools around the nation.
