| Over on the 1010XL OnDemand, they had SFR's interview with Calais Campbell.
He had some interesting things to say...
~ He has talked to the Jaguars more than any other team and they have shown the most interest in drafting him.
~ Said he is with out a doubt faster than his 5.0 "40" time and that he would regularly run a 4.8 "40" and would creep into the 4.7 area (I can confirm those numbers, they are true)...but he worked on his bench throughout the off-season, and didn't work on his speed technique (as I said earlier in the off-season).
~ He said his shuttle times (or times showing burst) were actually impressive to scouts at the pro day and combine.
Tomorrow, Kentwan Balmer will be on the show. |

| | He was on Sirius NFL radio about an hour ago. he said he would be a first round pick . They kept wanting to talk about the Titans and the Redskins as possibilities he was staying away from saying what team he expects to go to. He speaks well doesn't sound like a thug that was so famous from the U. He is a big man and he would help round out our DE position. He also could slip some and give us a chance to trade down and pick up an extra pick like we did last year. |

.NO NO NO PLEASE NO.... THIS GUY IS A BUST GO FOR GROVES!!!!!!! Groves recently had heart surgery and he is more of a DPR, which has not worked for us in the past. Therefore, I think they will shy away from him. The article on the front page of the website seems to confirm your DPR theory. Gene Smith in talking about Groves basically stated that the true DPR guys are at the back of the draft...not 1st round.

...which is true, but, try to remember, everything that comes out of a GM's mouth in the month of April is a lie. Everything. One of them (I forget which one) actually came out and said it the other day. "Everything that will come out of my mouth from now on will be a lie."
So, if you build your opinion based on what GMs around the league are saying, you are building your opinion on quicksand. "Quentin Groves is just a DPR." That may or may not be true.

I looked at it as though guys that are ONLY DPR's are later round guys. I didn't see it as an indicator on how they feel about Groves. Then Shack backed that up with his view that he thinks Groves can be an every down DE.

Seems like its only me and you that think Xavier lee is without a doubt the best player in the darft, If he is available at 26 and we pass him up, I am going to jump off the Dames Point bridge
