| Welcome2Duval (8/10/2008) Did anyone happen to park in LOT X for the Atlanta game?I would like to know this also. I called fan services twice last week and was told it was owned by the city and would open up 4 hours before gametime and the second time I was told it would open 3 hours before gametime. We showed up at 4:15 and was told by the worker that it would open 2 hours before game time. We had four other cars coming down to meet us after 4:30. We also were told at the gate that the grassy lot X would not be open at all for the entire season and that a small paved lot under the overpass was now called Lot X. And, the lots are not owned by the city but a company named Landmark. As we talked to her, two cars drove up with X tags hanging from their rear view mirrors, leading us to believe that spaces have already been sold for that paved lot. And we were told we have to move our car NOW. So, we had to scramble to try to find a place where five cars could tailgate, not knowing anything about parking lots since Lot X is the only one we're familiar with. I would like fan services to get their act together and not give our false information about parking. So, did anyone get to park in Lot X? Is it still open to first comers or are all of the spost pre-sold? We now have to figure out where to tailgate for this season. |

| This is a shame. It seems like such a simple thing to handle, yet it appears to get botched for every game. There were a few games last year where the attendants arrived late, and so the opening of the lot was delayed. That may be what happened to you.
If there is a pass required, where do you get it???? This whole thing is retarded. The only reason I am pressing is because I like that lot. There is lots of space, and the walk down under the Hart Bridge ramp between all the tailgate parties is a lot of fun!

| | I have always parked at the fairgrounds for much more $$$, great location though. If I want to start parking in X what time do I need to arrive for the one oclock games by. I come in heading south on 95 and take the union street exit. What is the best way to get to this lot from that direction. Thanks Guy |

They had a gentleman from the company that manages the lot call me. I spoke to Bob, and told him your story. He apologized for any confusion that day. It seems that the development company that owns the lot retains several spaces for their employees to use on gameday. That explains the lot X tags. He went on to say that the remaining spaces are first come first serve, and that the lot is scheduled to open 3 hours before gametime. He has my name, and I have his # in my phone. He asked me to call him Saturday with any issues. He said he will be coordinating lots, and will come there if neccessary. Case closed??? I hope so. See you at lot X Saturday 4pm!!!

This season will be great!!!OK, so did you tailgate in the paved area under the overpass or in the grassy lot that is on the river? We're looking at other lots to purchase passes. We have anywhere from 4-5 carsloads of people who tailgate. We arrive at different times, so we would hope we could have a place where the first person to arrive can save spots. We did this in the grassy area of lot X. |
