Here are my picks for the top 5 Offensive players at each position in the upcoming draft and who they remind me of. I know some of you may disagree with my choices, so feel free to argue your point. Just don't expect me to change my mind. I scouted a ton of college players this past  season and my mind is set.

QB

1. Brian Brohm, Louisville- Mobile, accurate, smart, a great leader. Reminds me of John Elway.

2. Matt Ryan, Boston College- A playmaker with a great arm. Makes things happen. The 2nd coming of Brett Favre.

3. Andre Woodson, Kentucky- Underappreciated, very accurate, great decision maker. Reminds me of a young Warren Moon.

4. Joe Flacco, Delaware- Developmental, but could be the best QB in this draft, in 5 years. Needs time to develop, but plays like Tony Romo.

5. Chad Henne, Michigan- Talented, yet erratic player with injury issues. A bit like Marc Bulger.

RB

1. Darren McFadden, Arkansas- Fast, breakaway threat that can be used a number of ways. Alot like a young Robert Smith.

2. Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois- Big, fast elusive runner. A lot like Steven Jackson.

3. Felix Jones, Arkansas- Breakaway threat/return man. May be more talented than McFadden. Brian Westbrook type player.

4. Kevin Smith, UCF- Durable, fast player with great size. Can tote the ball 25-30 times a game. Could be a Edgerrin James type guy.

5. Ray Rice, Rutgers- Smaller, faster, durable player. One of the top performers in the NCAA. Looks like a young Warrick Dunn.

WR

1. Limas Sweed, Texas- Big, tall fast WR with great hands and body control. Could be a clone of Roy Williams.

2. Desean Jackson, California- Small, quick, dual threat with great hands. Can be a return guy as well. A little like Steve Smith.

3. Devin Thomas, Michigan State- Decent size, great speed, good hands, best route runner in the draft.  Reminds me of Donald Driver.

4. Mario Manningham, Michigan- Underrated player with average speed, good hands, and gets good separation. Plays like Anquan Boldin.

5. Malcolm Kelly, Oklahoma- Great size, hands and runs great routs, but a long strider with below average speed. Reminds me of Brandon Marshall.

TE

1. Fred Davis, USC- Smallish guy with great hands, decent blocker, great route runner, and excellent body control. Reminds me of a young Algae Crumpler.

2. Dustin Keller, Purdue- Fast, great hands and great speed, but a poor blocker. H-Back type player. Reminds me of Chris Cooley.

3. Kellen Davis, Michigan State- Great hands, good speed, so-so blocker, with decent size. Reminds me of a young Todd Heap.

4. Mike Rucker, Missouri- Great all-around TE. Good size, great hands, o.k. speed and a Solid route runner. Alot like a young Bubba Franks.

5. Gary Barnridge, Louisville- Most underrated TE in the draft. Solid receiver, decent blocker, great hands. Much like Jason Witten.

OT

1. Jake Long, Michigan- Ideal size, decent feet, more of a drive blocker, but has problems with speed rushers. Good player, not great. Like a young John Runyan.

2. Ryan Clady, Boise State- Great feet and use of hands. Won't overpower defenders, pure finesse blocker. Reminds me of Levi Jones.

3. Anthony Collins, Kansas- Good size, good feet, good use of hands, still developing player. Highest upside of any OT in the draft. Much like Marcus McNeill.

4. Gosder Cherilius, Boston College- Good size, great strength, only decent footwork. A pure RT prospect with high upside, could be as good as Willie Anderson.

5. Duane Brown, Virginia Tech- Player on the upside that does everything well, nothing great. Very consistent. A young Jeff Backus type.

OG

1. Brandon Albert, Oklahoma- The best interior blocker to enter the draft in the last 10 years and could play OT as well. The 2nd coming of Steve Hutchinson.

2. Eric Young, Tennessee- Versatile O-Lineman who could play virtually every position on the O-Line. Coming off serious injury. Much like Jason Fabini.

3. Andrew Radovich, USC- Strong, mean, blue collar type drive blocker. Uses his strength to overpower defenders. Mike Goff type player.

4. Andrew Crummey, Maryland- Underrated player. Big man with great feet and good use of hands, but a bit light in the hind end. Eric Steinbach type player.

5. Pedro Sosa, Rutgers- Good size, great footwork, decent strength. Excels in pass protection, improving run blocker. Stephen Neal type lineman.

Center

1. Steve Justice, Wake Forest- Great pass blocker, good run blocker, solid technique. A Dan Koppen type player.

2. Cody Wallace, Texas A&M- Nearly identical to Justice in his play. Nothing really separates the two. Jeff Faine

3. Jon Sullivan, Notre Dame- Not a flashy player, but is very quick, smart and pulls as well as any Guard.  Plays like a young Jeff Saturday.

4. Mike Pollak, Arizona State- Player who gets overlooked a lot. Great pass blocker and leader of O-line. Plays like a younger Jake Grove.

5. Jamie Richard, Buffalo- Emerging player who has no real outstanding aspects to his play, but remains technically sound. Much like a younger Chris Gray.

RB--Jonathan Stewart??   Did you just forget about him or do you really think Ray Rice and Kevin Smith are better than him?

WR-- I think Devin Thomas would be more like Anquan Boldin and Manningham would be more like Driver.  You got those descriptions backwards IMO.  Manningham is a smaller, thin guy.  Boldin is built like a Strong Safety.

Woodson probably doesn't have half the arm strength of Joe Flacco and yet he's rated higher than him?

I don't agree with most of that...Here's mine...

QB:

1. Matt Ryan- Has all the intangibles to go along with a solid arm and good accuracy.

2a. Chad Henne- Great arm. 4 year starter.

2b. Joe Flacco- Great measurables.

2c. Brian Brohm- Average arm strength with a lot of intangibles

5. Josh Johnson- Great physcial tools

RB:

1. Rashard Mendenhall- Big, powerful, fast, agile.

2. Darren McFadden- Amazing speed and playmaking ability

3. Jonathan Stewart- Compact runner with good vision...powerful.

4. Kevin Smith- Big, strong, fast. Runs hard.

5. Ray Rice- Very Jonathan Stewart esque.

WR:

1. Malcolm Kelly- Smooth receiver with great size and hands.

2. James Hardy- Can you say Plaxico Burress.

3. Limas Sweed- Good size, fast, productive.

4. Devin Thomas- Amazing speed and quickness. Can he develop his route running?

5. Mario Manningham- I don't care about his combine. He can run past corners.

TE:

1. Dustin Keller- Athletic guy that can stretch the seam.

2. Fred Davis- Highly productive player with tons of talent.

3. Martellus Bennett- Tall TE with good speed.

4. Jermichael Finely- Athletic TE that can also stretch the seam, but needs to add weight and learn how to block.

5. John Carlson- Gets the job done. Knows how to get open and can catch.

I don't know Olineman. I defer to Mel Kiper and Todd McShay for those.

I am not much of a fan of Jonathan Stewart. He fits a certain style of offense, like Pittsbugh. I personally despise the Steelers ground and pound style of football (which they have gotten away from a bit since Tomlin has taken over). In any case, that style of football is boring to watch, which is why I cannot stand that team. I prefer faster, breakaway threats that can take it to the house on every carry. It comes down to what kind of style you like. Fortunately for Stewart, I have him falling to the Steelers in round 1. If teamed with a RB like Willie Parker, he could thrive, but if he is a featured back in a pro style or pass first type offense, I think he'll be a dud, like Curtis Enis.

When it comes to what I look for in a QB, arm strength is not that high up on the list. I look for accuracy, smarts and leadership abilities before anything else. In all of these scenarios, Woodson is better than Flacco at this point in his career. As I said in my original post, Flacco just might turn out to be the best QB in this draft, in 5 years, but I believe he may take 2-3 seasons to sit on the bench and learn the pro game before he reaches that potential. Most teams just don't give 1st and 2nd round QB's that much time to develop. It's not that I don't like Flacco, I like him alot and given time, I think he can turn into a quality NFL starter. I just think Brohm, Ryan and Woodson will be ready to play at a high level a lot quicker, that's all.

Arm strength is the most important physical tool for an NFL quarterback.  You can't get away with throwing deep outs and corners in the NFL if you have a pop-gun arm.

I sort of see where you are coming from, but Stewart is faster than Kevin Smith and Ray Rice.  So that is not much justification for leaving him out of your top 5 RB's.  Just my two cents.  I think the Saints might grab Stewart at #10 for a surprise pick.  I would be surprised if Stewart is left when the Steelers pick.
