Draft analyst Tony Pauline is moving guys up and other guys down his draft board, and he has defensive ends Quentin Groves and Phillip Merling  available to the Jaguars with pick number 26.

For those guys that want Campbell- Calais Campbell is dropping hard,” Pauline said of the Miami defensive end, who had a bad junior season and followed that with a poor combine workout. “His pro day wasn’t good, either.

OPINION??

Merling no doubt.

He would've been a top 10 pick if it weren't for his hernia.

Wow.  The GM is now "cow manure".  It's "not personal" though, right TMD?  You are truly a douche.

In a heartbeat, but he won't fall that far. Should the Jaguars pass on Campbell at #26, I'm confident he'll go somewhere in the 30s. While I see him as a high 2nd round pick, I'd be very shocked if he made it to pick #40.

104. Oakland Raiders: Calais Campbell, DE, Miami

I know this is crazy, but look where Walterfootball.com has him going in their mock draft.  In the 4th round.  Yes, the 4th.

Definatly agree, Merling would be a no doubter for me if he fell that far.  I think it would be the perfect match of BAP and darfting for need.  I don't think the Jags need to reach for an end, but if Merling is there I am betting they would jump at the chance to take him.

I'm not crazy about Merling.

I wouldn't take Campbell until the end of round 3 at the earliest.  Why draft someone in rounds 1 or 2 with such a high probability for failure?  To stick in the NFL a player must work hard and Campbell has shown that he comes up short there.

Merling would be great.  Love to have him in round 1.

Groves may be the Jaguars choice, but we already have Smith.  So I pass on Groves.

If Phillips or Merling is not there at 26, I trade back into round 2 if I can.  The exception to that would be if the Jags plan to move Williams to SS.  Then I take a CB.

Are you banking on a full recovery and a 7+ sack season from Brian Smith? The odds aren't great on that. While I'd be ecstatic, I don't see it happening.
