Breaking the single season touchdown record certainly is nothing special.

You gotta admit, that TD record was not very high.  A whopping 10 if I assume correctly you are referring to Reggie Wiliams.

Double digit TD's are not the norm in the NFL.

Jimmy Smith is a possible HOFer and he could never do it. Reggie didn't he play full time and he got 10. Only 11 players had double digit TD's last year, 5 in 2006, and 8 in 2005.

Why do people still hate on Reggie Williams?

 TMD on Mike Walker Sep.7:
"because he stinks"
"Why don't you get it? WTH has this player done, besides be an OTA wonder?"
"In the exhibition games, he's shown eggo hands."
"It's like you people are truly shocked/ mystified/ surprised that Harris produced another bust."

Great Blue North just issued a 3 Rd mock draft with some very interesting selections for the Jags:

http://www.gbnreport.com/3-roundprojection.html

These selections would not be my selections, but the ain't all bad.

My picks:

Rd 1(26): Phillip Merling - DE - Clemson

Rd 2(58): Carl Nicks - OLT - Nebraska

Rd 3(71): Red Bryant - DT - Texas A&M

Rd 3(89): Brad Cottam - TE - Tennessee

I hope we stay away from Campbell and Merling.  Merling has an injury issue and Campbell looked really slow and awkward at the combine.  Lawrence Jackson, Q.Groves or D. Harvey would be my targets

Contrary to popular opinion, a sports hernia is NOT a serious injury that would dramatically effect a player like Phillip Merling from participating in the 2008 Training Camp. Perhaps he might be limited in the first OTA but then there is not much hitting done at the OTAs.

Lawrence Jackson has BUST written all over him.

Derrick Harvey most like will be a Top 10 selection by New England and will be taken no later than Pick 17 by the Vikings.

I don't think Lawrence Jackson will be a bust, I just don't think he'll be great. Think more athletic Paul Spicer.

More and more I look at it, more and more I think we go Phillips or Cason in Round 1, or trade down with Hotlanta.

I think the pick is Phillips if he is there and the Jags stay where they are. The only teams ahead of the Jags that may grab him are Philly and maybe Dallas. I'd like to then see them come back in round 2 and grab the BAP d-lineman.

A trade would also be possible. The value chart lists our first round pick as being nearly equal to Atlanta's second and third. Judging by past draft history, you could also probably get an extra fifth or sixth too. I'd be fine with that. You'd have 4 picks in the first 75 or so.

Future Jaguars: Boo Robinson, Bear Pascoe

When I say bust I use the term very loosely. What I mean is nothing special and certainly not worthy of a Rd 1 selection.

The way it is around here, unless the guy is a HOF picked 26th in Rd 1 then he automatically is determined to be a BUST!

Know what I mean, Vern?
