| Yeah, saw this earlier today. That pick is kind of outdated now. Not much chance we reach on Lawrence Jackson in the first round now. I think I'd take Kenny Phillips in that scenario and go DE in round 2 or 3.

| | im not a fan of Jackson in the 1st either. I think we could drop back some and get him. Frankly, Id rather grab Laws in the 1st instead of Jackson. if you're gonna reach... I really dont like our options at 26. especially in this scenario. If i had to guess what the Jags do, Id think they go after a CB. I tend to think theyd prefer Cason over Flowers. bigger. speed is better(if you believe the 40s).

| Stigma (4/11/2008) Hate the pick.Another Rd 1 BUST waiting to happen! He's a slight reach considering most draft have him going early two, but what's so bad about him that you think he'll be a bust? His combine times were comparable to the better DEs (unlike Campbell, who btw is more of a LDE like Spicer), he doesn't have a huge medical red flag (unlike Merling), and he's not considerably undersized (unlike Groves who's really stictly a 3-4 OLB).

Have you seen this guy play? He is a journeyman DE that will most likely never get more than 5 or 6 sacks in any given year over his entire career. Now if he were taken in Rd 3, then I say, fine, he rates a late Rd 3 draft choice, but to spend a Rd 1 draft choice is to make him a BUST. There is absolutely nothing about him that is special. In fact I would take Jeremy Thompson or Brian Johnston or even Darrell Robertson before I would take this guy. Hey, if you like nothing special in your 1st Rd draft choices, then by all means advocate his selection. |

| The more I look at the draft and where we sit, the more I think we will take someone like Cason or Phillips will be our pick and we pull the trigger for Jason Taylor.
Jackson is OK, but like Stigma said nothing special.

"nothing special" man that sounds like EVERY other first round pick in the Jack and Shack era. |

| Breaking the single season touchdown record certainly is nothing special.
