Jags Picks:

1-26. DE Calais Campbell, Miami, 6-8, 290, 5.04- despite his recent lackluster workout numbers, Jags take the huge DE from Miami with a massive wingspan for his promising potential and his uncanny ability to bat balls and strip QB of ball in pocket.  Campbell provides the Jags with another extra large defensive lineman and seems to be the kind of player Jack Del Rio favors on the front line.

2-58. S Tyrell Johnson, Arkansas St, 6-0, 207, 4.45- this athletic safety has shot up the boards.  He can play strong or free safety and is said to have decent range in coverage but will also come up and support the run.  A sure tackler and excellent special teamer who will provide much needed depth at Safety.  Many feel Johnson can be a starter in the NFL.  That may prove to be important if Sensabaugh does not fully recover from surgery on both shoulders.

3-71. TE Kellen Davis, Michigan St, 6-6, 265, 4.6-  George Wrighster will still be recovering from a serious knee injury when the season starts.   Davis is a big, fast, strong player who can also block well.  He could immediately provide a needed upgrade over Wrighster.  Lewis, Davis, and Estandia would constitute one of the better TE trios in the league for years to come.

3-89. DE Brian Johnston, Gardner Webb, 6-5, 274, 4.66- the Jags prove they are serious about upgrading the pass rush by taking their second DE in the first 3 rounds.  Johnston is another player shooting up the boards due to his strong workouts.  The Jags feel they can't wait until the later rounds to try to draft him, as Johnston may be gone by the start of the 4th round.

Very nice.  In that situation though, I jump all over Quentin Groves.

 TMD on Mike Walker Sep.7:
"because he stinks"
"Why don't you get it? WTH has this player done, besides be an OTA wonder?"
"In the exhibition games, he's shown eggo hands."
"It's like you people are truly shocked/ mystified/ surprised that Harris produced another bust."

That would be good, too.  I am beginning to wonder if we even need to draft a DT though.

When Grady Jackson was stuffing the middle of the Dline, the Jags Dline as a whole played better. Red Bryant is a younger version of Grady Jackson, and like Grady he will make the players around him better. That alone would be the reason to draft Red Bryant.

And the Jags may very well do that.  I just like the bigger DE's better for some reason.  I would not be mad if we took Groves though.

I'm not saying Red Bryant would not be good for the team, but who do you cut if we only keep 4 DT's? Oh and by the way, I read up some more on your SS pick, Quintin Demps. Not a very good review as far as the weaknesses go. I cut and pasted it:

Weaknesses:
Timed speed is just average...Not a great natural athlete...Is not real physical...Is not a reliable tackler...Has trouble getting off blocks...Does not offer much versus the run...Size and bulk are marginal...Not real strong or physical...Upside's limited.

If you look hard enough you can find fault with anyone.

Let's take you for instance and your limited personal knowledge of the players you pimp. Who in their right mind is going to be convinced that you know what your talking about? Still you persist and that has to mean something doesn't it?

Now Stigma, talking to yourself makes people think you are crazy.  Cut it out.
