WOW- I fell for it.  nice.  I am no leftwich apologist (more of a hater), but I do believe he will get signed by somebody- Carolina or Oakland or some god awful team like that.  Oh, I find nothing wrong with people who follow the careers of players we once had.  Mark Brunell, Akin Ayodele, Keenan McCardell, or even Lefty.  Byron was a very controversial but also important part of the team while in jax.  I'll follow his career just because of that.  Same with Ernest W (his controversy was not as prolific, just the board's Ernest vs Reggie stuff).

I actually feel bad for Byron.  I think he deserves a shot somewhere.  I think at this point of his career he may want to consider being a back up for a while.  I think he still considers himself too highly, ie...a starter.  I just dont see it happening.  He is so immobile he just cant compete when a defense brings a rush.

Is he working out in Miami? You know working on his mobility. Getting ready, improving his mechanics. That's hilarious, remember people actually thinking he could change those things.
Or is he on a couch somewhere eating chips, trying to decide between NFL europe and canada?

I actually gasped when I read the title of this thread.  I was so GLAD for Byron!  What a disappointing, non-funny, non-entertaining, waist of time thread.

I got suckered on that thread title, too. Bummer.

I know alot of people don't like Leftwich, but to be honest if my team wanted me working with some mechanics coach who didn't even fit into my style of play I'd told them "No" too.

Why? Because he's so fundamentally sound?

I agree, improving his release would only make him similar to someone like Dan Marino as Byron already had the strong arm and knowlege of the game.  I think it was extremely wise for Byron to continue to hold on to the ball until the last second and only release the ball prior to getting killed by the opposing pass rush.

Sure, it costs him a $60 million dollar contract but at least he is his own man.

Wouldn't fit around Bryan's.
