| We tend to get really critical in what players say and a lot of times I don't think we should, but heard something DG said along the lines of...... I'm sure were not done in free agency. Is that something worth mentioning to you guys? It stuck out like a sore thumb to me when he said it. I do know that the Jags have spent a grip of money and I would tend to think they wouldn't keep spending but the time is now to make a run and I think Wayne Weaver has "broke out the check book". Give me your thoughts.

| | Hopefully he slipped and dropped a hint. Would be nice to add a nice vet DE and draft a DT and DE.

| | That gives me hope we'll bring in Eric Wilber once again. I realize he was only a Jag for 19 hours and 23 minutes but the impact he made on the team cannot be measured. Here are some quotes from his former teammates: "He has what it takes to be in the NFL, he has 'it' " - stated by Henderson "He'll be a great punter for some team if he gets released" - stated by Scobee "He got a 34 on his wonderlic, how can he fail" - stated by Meester

| Del Rio kept saying "we're not done yet" at his media session during the owner's meeting. Something most be brewing. Jason Taylor straight up for our 2nd round pick on draft day??

I still maintain that a 2nd rounder is too much for a 34 year old DE....I think a 3rd rounder would be more than fair compensation.
I mean....hell, if Miami wants a 1st rounder or even a 2nd rounder in exchange for a 34 year old DE whose best days are behind him, then in comparison, the 2 first rounders (or 1st + a 3rd) in exchange for a 26 year old Jared Allen, starts to look that much more favorable.

TMD on Mike Walker Sep.7: "because he stinks" "Why don't you get it? WTH has this player done, besides be an OTA wonder?" "In the exhibition games, he's shown eggo hands." I admit that is speculation on my part, but as it becomes clearer & clearer that Jared Allen is not going to re-sign long term with KC, and they face the real possibility of losing him & getting nothing in return next year, and not many other teams have the cap room & as dire need for a DE like the Jags do, that might put the Jags in the favorable position of getting Jared Allen for less than the textbook 2 first rounders for the franchised player.
Teams have negotiated this in past years and this year, too (GB's Corey Williams)
