They should be. He is a hell of a coach. One guarantee: He will not get a standing ovation when the Hoosiers play at Illinois.

Lets do this.

They should be. He is a hell of a coach. One guarantee: He will not get a standing ovation when the Hoosiers play at Illinois.

Given the Eric Gordon situation and Kelvin Sampson controversy, nobody in the Hoosier state is going to get any applause over in Illinois.

To be honest, I don't know a lot about the guy.  I've watched Marquette play a couple of times at the end of ballgames; but have never really watched him coach.  Based on what little I've read up to this point, he seems to have a good eye for young talent (hopefully and preferably, without a cellphone).  He has his work cut out for him and I don't expect his first season to be that successful given the loss of D.J. White and, quite possibly, Gordon; not to mention the rise of Purdue in the Big Ten.

I just hope he stays with a clean record.  Bloomington would probably be satisfied with that.  I don't think anyone outside of the state knows just how ugly the entire situation around Indiana University basketball is.  I mean, look at what Bellichick did with the Patriots and how Patriot fans did their darndest to make nothing of it.  In Indiana, a state that prides itself on basketball on every level, Hoosier fans wanted Sampson out and wanted to get off to a fresh start.  In my humble opinion, Greenspan should go, too.

He comes from the Big East, and they kill each other in that conference.  There are players on the Indiana roster who could use a little fire under them.
