No I like it the way it is. I want to see them change the rules to minimize the officials impact on the game, here's three to start.

1. eliminate the push out rule, the receiver either gets his feet in bounds or not.

2. All O-line must wear 8oz boxing gloves and the holding rule is abolished, you get a penalty if your gloves come off.

3. A block in the back cannot be called unless a player is forced to the ground.

I like #1.  That rule leaves way to much "judgement" to the officials.  I hope #2 and #3 are a joke.   They also need to change the rule about WR's having to have possession after hitting the ground while going out of bounds.  If a WR catches the ball cleanly, gets two feet down, then falls to the ground, it should not matter if the ball bounces out.  It should be a catch.

I like the push-out rule because it's bogus if your guy would totally come down with two feet but gets shoved out while in the air. There's absolutely nothing the receiver could do about that. Besides, I've not seen the rule blatently abused. They miss constantly on several other rules, but this one has been called right for the most part.

I understand rule #3 only because so many blocks in the back go uncalled as it is. But they still need to ban it. Allowing such blocks outright will only contribute to injury.

#2 is interesting. You know, it might actually work.

This is what I want, engaging dialogue. I disagree on rule #1 if he's pushed out, then it is a good defensive play. The goal is to remove the officials influence over the outcomes of the games. On rule #3, you guys are right, I did not put it in the right context. I'm just tired of seeing flags thrown for infractions no where near the play and the blocked player was not even forced to the ground. Especially on kickoffs

I strongly agree with those who believe that the current playoff system shouldn't be changed.     Being that the Division winners with the two worst records in each Conference have to play a first round playoff game,   they shouldn't be penalized twice.    Playing a road game in the first round against a team that didn't even win a division is too extreme of a difference from the two Division winners that get first round byes and home games in the Second Round.

As for Wildcard teams,   they are already getting a gift from the NFL,  despite not coming in First Place over the course of a long season.     These teams should have to go the long way to reach the Super Bowl.       Props to the Steelers and Giants for beating the odds in the 2005 and 2007,  respectively.

Not only for those reasons, but it would put somewhat of a damper on and lessen the value of games played against teams in the division, where most rivalries are born.

That makes sense D6. I was in favor of the amended playoff system but I am starting to reconsider my stance.
