I would like to trade our first for some bad teams 2009 first rounder, like bengals chiefs, or bears. Etc... That would be a great deal, just similar to what the patriots did with the 49ers and it paid off big time. That is the best idea that I have heard so far! I was on the bandwagon to trade for Jason Taylor. Mortgaging the future by trading for a RDE seems silly considering how creative our defensive coordinator is. Since it is unlikely that a top 20 player will fall to us at #26, trading down seems to be the most logical thing to do.

With the draft coming up in just a few short weeks, I am very excited to see what/who we are going to do with our first pick. Remember back when we shocked everyone and drafted Matt Jones? I am hoping something like that happens this season. Everybody is saying that the draft is weak....which I agree, but I see plenty of talent coming out. After seeing a few draft boards and watching some film on a few guys, I really like that DE from Miami. I also like QB Joe Flacco, RB Felix Jones and Rodgers-Cromartie. I can see us drafting any of those 4 guys...I wonder who we are targeting?? Who do you guys think? I know about the BAP, so who do you think will be the BAP at 26? You have not been folllowing the draft a lot lately have you? Calais Campbell (a.k.a. that DE from Miami) has tumbled down the draft boards. He ran very slow and only did 17 reps of 225 in his workouts. A lot of mocks have him going in the mid to late 2nd round now. QB Joe Flacco is moving up the boards, but he probably won't go in the 1st round. I don't think there is any way we draft him in the first. CB Rodgers-Cromartie will be long, long gone before our pick at #26. IMO, RB Felix Jones is an outside possibility. Even though we have Fred and MJD, we need a 3rd RB and a guy for the future. The way the contracts are structured, I don't think Jones would be a huge cap number this year to sit on the bench most of the time. He can be a return guy (MJD getting too valuable for that role) and be groomed to be #2 behind MJD after Fred leaves.

| | I think we are only an injury away from being hurting at QB. Would love to see us pick up one if a decent one is available. Then again, I hear Leftwich can be gotten for cheap.... |

| | I'm thinking like Jackson(DE) or Clady(OT) or maybe Williams(OT) I think alot of it might depend on who's left when they draft and the best value they think they can get overall. I'm still thinking as far as position first round will be a DE or OT |
