| Dang, how far is Jonathan Stewart going to drop? He should have went to Detroit at #15. Are we doing round 2 also?

Chop block (3/27/2008) Jacksonville trades their #26 pick to Miami for Jason Taylor and Miami's first pick of the 4th round.Jacksonville now has DE Jason Taylor and selections in rounds 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, and 7. Not quite sure that I want to wake up to the response to this tomorrow... With the #26 selection, Miami selects QB Brian Brohm. UGH! In this scenario I would take Jonathan Stewart and prep him to take over for Fred next year. Or I would grab S kenny Phillips and hope he can play SS. IMO, we do not trade our 1st round pick for a 34 year old DE who has maybe two good years left. We need to trade up and get Derrick Harvey before we do this. We don't need a whole bunch of picks. Have you looked at the NFL Draft Value chart and crunched the numbers to trade up? Jacksonville would have to select before Carolina to get Derrick Harvey, which would cost us our 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd round selection. Although I'm a huge Derrick Harvey fan he is not a pick in each of the first three rounds. Chris Williams and Carl Nicks SHUTDOWN every RDE at the Senior Bowl. If Ellis, Robertson, Avril, and Thompson can't get past a college OT how will they get pressure on a NFL quarterback? One more thing, Lawrence Jackson got a sack because the late Heath Benedict missed his assignment and Jackson went untouched. Don't even get me started about Calais Campbell. That lazy slob is overweight and slow. Paul Spicer has more work ethic in his little toe than Calais Campbell has in his entire body. One more thing...if the Jags are looking for a quality RB one can easily be found in the 2nd or 3rd round. Matt Forte and Tashard Choice have decent speed and exceptional power and leg drive. No sense paying 1st round money to a rookie RB!

Mia- QB Brian Brohm 27.SD- S Kenny Phillips 28.Dal- CB Brandon Flowers 29.SF- CB Reggie Smith 30.GB- OL Gosder Cherlius 31.* forfeits pick 32.NYG- LB Dan Connor Initially I thought trading Taylor for a 1st rd pick was insane. In retrospect I think it is a little less crazy. I see where you are going CHOP and it is a valid point: if we are 1 player away from the Lombardi, we get a cost saving move by not taking a player we don't want and we fill a huge need. The way this draft played out, it does appear that the Jags would be gambling by taking a Balmer or a Cherlius at 26. I'm not a Campbell guy and would think the Jags would be happy to see a Lawrence Jackson fall to them later.

Blazing Arrow: You can sugar it up and try to rub Young's name in the mud all you want but if he gets more chances and more looks at your D he would have found a way to score... ....Still Waiting.....
Blazing Arrow (7/3/2007): MJD cn not handle the pressure of #1. THe end of the season last year (2006) proved that.

| I think the trade would be awful. And I don't see that many WRs going in round 1.

| Too Sexy for My Shirt (3/28/2008) I think the trade would be awful. And I don't see that many WRs going in round 1.Which teams do you think look elsewhere? I've read some good comments on Philly not going WR but my gut tells me they will. Pit and TB could go elsewhere but Ten seems a gimmie to go WR.
