With Johnston's work out numbers, I don't think he will be available in round 5.  He may even be gone by our round 4 selection.

I once thought that, but I don't any more. Just because someone is fast does not make him a high draft pick or even a good football player.

He is very raw having competed with the likes of JU and other non-scholarship teams. He just has so much to learn.

Do you ever wonder why he was not invited to the Combine if he is so talented a player? Obviously the Scouts view him as a fringe draft selection or he would have been invited to the Combine.

Stigma, do you really see the Jaguars making 3 trades involving veteran players. I don't know that I have ever seen a team so active on draft day in trading veteran players.

Does anyone really think that JDR is so stubborn that he would rather cut Matt Jones than trade him away for at least some player of value?

Regarding Mike Peterson, there has been this lingering rumor that the Jags want to dump his 4.7 mil dollar 2008 compensation package rather than pay it.

Greg Wesley is a potential starting SS for the Jags that wants out of KC and whom the Chiefs want to trade. Trading away what amounts to a Rd 6 pick for a potential starter to me is not such a bad idea.

Hardie will be there in round 5, but it is going to be interesting to see where Johnston falls.

Maybe they are not bad ideas but most of your trade scenarios are unrealistic.

I did not realize that the fate of the world hung in the balance.

That and a dollar will get you 4 quarters, if you are lucky.
