I'm on this board so much I think of many of you as a family. To that end, I feel you should know what's going on with me. I had an unexpected phonecall by my doctor yesterday telling me and my wife he wanted to see us this morning. When we got there, we learned that I have skin cancer. Not just skin cancer, but the worst kind...melenoma. I'm still trying to take in what precisely this means, but it sounds a bit scary. I'm hoping they'll be able to just remove it and that will be that, but who knows. I may need chemo, but I really hope it doesn't come down to that. I think they caught it before it spread, but I had the mole they found it in for a couple years. To make what could be a longer story short, I can use your prayers and advice/thoughts. Has anyone else had melanoma that can share their experience?

You're in my prayers 02. My daughter had one about 10 yrs ago, had it removed and had no other problems. Your post reminded me to call her and chew her out for not getting checked by a dermatologist. Lets pray that yours is as easily cured as her's. I know how much hers scared us. Also I have two friends, one is my Pastor, who had them removed recently.

Hopefully they caught it early and it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes. I'm sure it hasn't though.

Good luck and I hope everything will be fine after they remove it.
