Get a life?

You're debating who has the better local news show with some random jerk who calls himself Karl Torp on an internet message board.

Are you really complaining about something from 5 years ago?

Follow the link dude! I said getting tickets online is easier than trying to get they by phone.

You and Fargin are making a mountain out of a molehill....sorry you 2 don't have anything better to do with your time.

Then again Tim Deegan is much better than you at weather so I see why you spend so much time here.

I don't have anything else to do? I've only posted on this thread four times. One of those was about The Chihuahua's Super Bowl  prediction. Maybe you need to get a life.

I have been a loyal fan and season ticket holder and now that were winning I have to pay more for my season tickets??? I think that is BULL!! Who agrees??????

You do understand that it's a business, and that it's not a charity, right?

The Jaguars are struggling to stay in line with the mandated revenue requirements in order to qualify for revenue sharing.  Aside from raising ticket prices in order to stay inside the 90% targets, what would you suggest that the team does to cover the gap that they currently face with other big market franchises in order to qualify for revenue sharing?

The average ticket price for Jaguar season tickets is SUBSTANTIALLY lower than all but one franchise.  The Jaguars have one of the most affordable game day prices of any team in the National Football League.

With revenue opportunities going through the roof for large market franchises, it makes it more and more difficult for a team like the Jaguars in a small market who are strapped with a heavier burden to keep up.

You can complain about the minor rise in ticket prices.  You'll get another rate increase next year in an effort to offseat the shortfalls.  The reality is that it costs money to put a team on the field, and it cost MORE money to make that team competitive with bigger market franchises with significantly deeper pockets.

For every dollar below the average that the Jaguar season tickets fall compared to the rest of the league, that's another dollar that they can't spend to pay out bigger bonuses that will appeal the types of players and retain those that are worthy of hanging on to because we simply don't have the money available to do so.  That's why the Jaguars have NO choice but to raise ticket prices.

The league has put a measure in place to make it an absolute requirement that teams like the Jags must hit a threshold of 90% of the average league revenue in order to qualify for the paltry bit of revenue sharing at a full rate.  That percentage slips for every tick below 90% that they are.  With new stadiums coming on line in Dallas and New York over the next few years, the team is either going to have to really raise ticket prices, or the league will have to step in and re-think their revenue sharing.

That's the business reality of the NFL in 2008.  You may not like it, but the bottom line is that if they don't do their darndest to keep up with revenues, you'll be rooting for the Los Angeles Jaguars.

Absolutely !!!!   To expand on that, I once went into the Dolphins website to see about tix for a game (since I would be in Miami for one weekend) and their worst seats were about $60.   Wow, what a great idea ... pay $60 to sit in the upper deck corner and watch Cleo Lemon throw a pass to Ted Ginn ---- no thanks !!

Never thought I'd see local news smack on this message board.

By the way Daryl Tardy was the best.  Remember when he got busted for soliciting a male prostitute?

 TMD on Mike Walker Sep.7:

"because he stinks"

"Why don't you get it? WTH has this player done, besides be an OTA wonder?"

"In the exhibition games, he's shown eggo hands."

"It's like you people are truly shocked/ mystified/ surprised that Harris produced another bust."

It's like people don't even know what inflation is, or the severe money shortage in this team, or (most importantly) the MASSIVELY GREAT DEAL ticketholders get for an NFL product. Vic Ketchman said it best: it's a Tiffany product at Wal-Mart prices.

The Mad Dog (2/24/2008)
Had I started in 2003, This team would have seen a SB by now.

Starting from right now, with the team in it's current state, I could have this team in a SB within 2 years/ seasons.
