On this day when we honor our fallen heroes, thoughts and prayers go out to those that have served, or are currently serving in the US armed services along with their families that share their sacrifice.

To those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country, I salute and thank you.

Thanks alot for keeping us safe. USA, USA, USA!!!!!!

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for all my life
and I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today
Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away.

Chorus: And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today.
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land.
God bless the U. S. A.

From the lakes of Minnisota
To the hills of Tennesse
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shinning sea
From Detroit down to Houston
From New York to L. A.
There's a pride in every American heart
And it's time we stand and say

Chorus: And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today.
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land.
God bless the U. S. A.

Chorus: And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up next to you
And defend her still today.
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land.
God bless the U. S. A.

My brother will be in the Sandbox come August.  He's excited and ready to go.  My family is proud of him and we know he will represent the Army and his fellow Troops from all branches well.

He's a bit upset he's not in Afghanistan right now as he is a huge MMA fan and several top fighters from both WEC and UFC are there this week to see the Troops

He will be home next month for leave before he deploys.  He's been in the Mojave and other deserts here in the US training for his time Over There and I'm not sure he'll know how to act in a house again!  Indoor plumbing!  Running water!  A bed!

Anyway... as a former Soldier and the daughter, sister, ex-wife and granddaughter of Veterans.....  Thank you for your service.

Do not mistake my kindness for weakness.

Thanks for the support everyone. I remember being homesick on deployment and missing everyone here in Jacksonville. The mall, the movies, friends, family, the Jags games, barbecues, the beach,  the clubs, everything. I also remember watching the Jags games to keep me motivated while I was in the desert. Gotta love David and Fred. i wish both guys just ran more! haha and MJD of course!

They pay their members for joining other people and I love it! Army's great benefits and all but everyone could use extra cash.
