Looking for some help ....I need info on the helicopter crash in Afghanistan.. I may have lost some one important to me and my family...I have tried DOD.Gov... But I can not get any listing of names of soldiers lost in crash.. We have yet been able to contact him...Emails or Text messages....Anyone? Please troops keep your eyes wide....We need you home... it appears most of the troops got off the helicopter before it crashed. Check this article out. http://news.aol.com/topnews/articles/_a/crashed-chopper-had-dropped-off-troops/20070530153409990001[/quote] I saw that also.....And he is a sniper..so he very well could have been one of them....But with no answers from him...and posts on his web page have me concerned...Thanks for your help....Anything else please post...

| First I want to thank all that helped me find info....But we got a call from him this morning at 3 am...He is OK...He was on the helicopter ..But they had just gotten off when the helicopter went down....They took cover around a tank as they took fire...Then they called in an air strike...He says things have settled down...Then he went on to talk about things that went through his head as all this was happening,,,My message to him is to focus on what is happening ...not what if's...Here I sit relieved...But yet I feel for the families that were not as lucky as us this time...God must have a place picked out for these men...A place high above heaven ..

| | As Washington continues to do the political dance over the war, the troops get caught in the middle just because they're doing their job, as thankless as it is at times. Here's a big thank you to the men and women that have served, or currently serve this country. No matter what the media does to spin it a certain way, you are still supported by the vast majority.

I don't think there's any doubt that the majority of Americans support the many fine women and men who serve our country, especially those in harm's way. Resistance to the war does not necessarily mean non-support of our troops. God bless them, one and all. Hopefully we'll see you home soon.

| Dear God, this thread has not been getting any attention at all. Goes to show you where our hearts are. I apologize men and women of the Armed Forces. I served 17 years in the Navy and know how important news from home is to the Military abroad.
I served 3 broken enlistments in the Navy, Vietnam from 71-74. reenlisted 77-81 and survived without conflict, 82-92 and fought with Kadafy, helped run down the Aquilli Laura hijackers, then after a couple Med cruises off to Desert Storm.
More are with you than agin ya!!! God Bless
