I see the people you refer to in the stadiums, in the malls, at the parks, at work and just keep walking. But again, every team has them, it is not relegated to one fan base.

And deep history, no. Recent history, yes. Every school that can sustain a year or two will develop some kind of "arrogant" sense about them. Nature of the beast. I have been to a lot of college stadiums and seen how "arrogant" some fans can be. Even the ones that aren't so good, SC, Clemson, even Vandy. Every fan base will have their shall we say "Out-Going" supporters. Makes sports what it is.

And again, I root for teams in the SEC to win out of conference games because it #1 helps in strength of schedule, and #2 makes the conference better as a whole. That is why the SEC is what it is, and maybe why the ACC is what the ACC is.

Rooting against Wake, Clemson, Miami etc is fine when FSU is on the same field. But particularly when they play out of conference it would behoove them to win. Why is that a bad thing? It helps strength of schedule which in turn, as long as FSU beats those same ACC teams head to head helps them in the BCS (which was part of your argument). So those teams losing only hurts FSU in the long run.. Why is that so hard to understand? Am I still being an arrogant Gator for laying it out like that?

I am an NFL fan first. To me, conference chest thumping is meaningless. My mind doesn't function like college fans'. You have your pov, and I have mine. I root for the Jags, and root against the Colts, Titans, and Texans.

I'm also a Nole fan. I root against Wake, Clemson, and The U because I want the Noles to be in a BCS game

The wins in season only help strength of schedule. The better the teams in the conference the more it will help each team get, and stay better.

I will continue rooting for the SEC schools to be, and stay good. That is why the SEC is currently the best conference in the land.

Iowa lost it's last two bowl games. One being Florida (Jan. of 2006)........the other Texas (most recent, Dec 2006).

In 04 and 05 Iowa beat UF and LSU.
