Very uncool. If they come and belittle here, it shows a lack of maturity, as well as poor marketing technique.

There is friction being created by confrontations that occur needlessly.

If I were here, representing Ja[i]gNation[/i], I would avoid conflict at all costs.

Diplomacy should be priority one.

They were basically threatened with being exposed as frauds, and bigots by someone who seemed disgruntled, for whatever reason.

Being defensive in such circumstances is understandable, but an ambassador of good will never display his defensiveness/disdain in public forums.

Anything short of graciousness will be percieved as arrogance.

Look, no offense or anything, but I just have to ask the question. Your post is just like a couple others from people at that site that have been posted here lately. It comes across (at least to me) as saying, "Yeah, I'm here, but only to say how bad it is here." Is that like some type of recruiting trick?

No. What I read happened before that. That thread didn't do much to change my point of view though. It just seems to be way too much of a conflict of interest.

Too many posts that come across as "advertising" the other site. Some of the "exclusives" that get referenced and linked over there would be one example. I remember clicking on one link once, and it came to a "login or registration" page that asked for me to pay to see the link. It really rubbed me the wrong way.

I do think they may feel they are better than the average Jag fan to a point. I have a Jaguar background on my myspace. That is elite.

I've been around a while and I've certainly been in my share of scuffles with other posters. Admittedly, I just didn't want to admit that I was wrong and I probably should have just kept my mouth shut. That's really the lesson Pharaoh needs to learn. Don't try and win every argument and jut accept that sometimes other posters know more than you. Yeah, there's egos to manuever around, but you'll be fine if you just try and approach things respectfully. I'm starting to be a hypocrite so I'll quit now.

Quite honestly, The Pharaoh is the type of fan this team needs; Guys going all out for games, buying tickets and encouraging the type of die-hard spirit that builds a lasting tradition. Although a pharaoh isn't exactly the first image that pops in my head when I think "jaguars" (maybe some sort of tribesmen in keeping the jungle theme?), the idea of die-hard fans dressing up for games, giving it their all is the first thing that pops into my head when i think "NFL Football".

As for the message board, an introductory forum would be nice but stricter enforcement of the COC for ALL members and maybe an ignore function. That would cut down on all the babbling and bickering that I seen go on for the last two years. There's some interesting discussions here that get ruined by people's **** measuring contests.[/quote]
