MMA is a mixture of all the fighting disciplines out there. Wrestling and Judo (Where the take downs come from, or as you so eloquently put it "lay down and try to get under the feet of your opponent.") Boxing, Karate, BBJ, etc.

In none of those sports is stomping on the face of an opponent legal. Your argument is weak.

I used to be a boxing guy but due to the lack of anyone decent out there to watch I made the swtch some time ago.

There is many more technical aspects to MMA than boxing ever can have. So much more to prepare for both offensively and defensively.

Yeah being in the octagon where you can punch, kick, and beat the hell out of each other is not fighting at all. It is far less physical than boxing. You got me.
