[/quote]
Keeps me away from porn. HA !!!
Actually, it's a good way to compete with friends and try to outsmart one another as being your own personal GM and making your own decisions.
Decisions such as whether to accept a trade offer of no name Ryan Grant (Packers RB) for Steven Jackson (Rams RB) make for great conversation.... would you have risked that last year after week 8 ? You don't want to give up a big name but then you look at Grant rushing for 100 yds per game and getting 2 tds per game ... while Jackson is struggling & nursing an injury and is listed as "probable" for the upcoming week. Most owners would NOT make the trade because big names are hard to depart with.

RE: Help me understand please

Fantasy Football is gay..

I have spoken.

RE: Help me understand please

It's fun with a group of friends with money involved too. You should try it. I know a couple of guys that have their g/f's involved and it helps them to understand the game more and they are more into it instead of having that appearance that my b/f dragged me to watch this football game.

RE: Help me understand please

Yea, it helps you keep up with players around the league and makes other games more interesting. Before or after Jags games, or if the Jags have a bye, I still look forward to watching games to see how my fantasy players are doing. It makes every game interesting.

RE: Help me understand please

I sometimes struggle in Fantasy because my homerism gets in the way. Bragging and chest pounding ensue.

Much like here.

RE: Help me understand please

Fantasy football makes almost every game interesting, whereas the pedestrian cincy vs oakland game means nothing to you. You can have a player in the game, your weekly opponent will have somebody playing, or the guy tops in the league will have his superstar injured on the 3rd play. It is not to be taken seriously (unless you are the virginal type) but can be fun if you think you know which players are going to put up better stats than others. Is marques colston gonna have a great year? How about derek anderson? How about who do you take overall with the first pick?? When your Qb goes down, who is left for you to pick up? Will tavaris jackson or matt leinart have the better week? It can be fun stuff.

RE: Help me understand please

This will be my third year playing. When my fantasy players are playing opposite the Jags, I couldn't care less about my points. I want to see my running back literally eaten by Big John. So long as he doesn't have to carted off the field afterwards for a bathroom break.

RE: Help me understand please

I've never tried it.
